Victory Of Humility

His face was buried in the warm sand of the shores
and his feet were soaked in the cold water of the sea
He faces the furnace of test
trying to put his conscience to tune
he steps in the rushing waves of trials
and on a stormy winter night, he builds his foundaion
On a lonely cross, his victory was held...
tightened by six inch nails, still it was victory
The Victory of humility!

The Scent Of The Rhythm

When the birds would chirp
and fill the air with joy
When the owls would cry
and send the thrills of terror and sorrow
When the drums would sound
and lift the cold hearts to the dance floor

But now voices crying
and tears streaming
i hear the sounds so demanding
the bowels of living
Life: the depths of searching
with no scent of healing
but a stench of ailing
The scent of the rhythm keeps fading

Africans In Time

I heard they were fighting
the colonialism and oppression biting
shedding tears of ailing
and longing for rays of healing

Now i see them fighting
again roots of ruling
that have eaten their plains of living
like hyenas in dwelling

But now it's their kinsmen
not the white man
Asegai versus Asegai
and not the mighty canons

Africans in time
Every moment is ripe
the fruit of our style
is the glory of our land

The Sin In Me

The evil that i do:
hoping to get better but getting worse
following the paths of light but living in darkness
hosting truth but in company of deception
It's the sin in me!
I am a light shining, the sun arising
with warmth abiding
I am hope never fading,
the love ever standing,
with faith promising
i am not a miserable sinner
but a honorable winner.
The filth i do, i don't mean to do
It's the sin in me.

Kinsmen of Existance

The sun of reason
breaking into a night of passion
guiding the dreaming hunter
into the archives of reality
to hit at the flesh of existence
and spill the blood of achievement
Real success, the sun of reason... shine on!

The son of purpose
reigning in the kingdom of darkness
healing the crippled humanity
into the safety of grace
and the assurance of faith
Real life, real purpose
The son of purpose, reign on!

From Sunrise To Sunset

Rising from the grave,
through the paths of despair.
Holding the barrel high,
and burying the nobble low.
Sounds of war, rhythms of emptiness

Bombs, Guns, and riffles
the same blood flowing
Pride, pain, and passion
the same hearts beating
and there they go again!

But from sunrise to sunset,
healing from ailing
from darkness to light
distinguishing thinking from wishing
rising above pride; shifting the horizon.

Gardens Of Tears

I have watched them
stroll from their native land
with sack cloths around their waists
holding tools of despair
on the shoulders of their fate

i heard them gating
leaving the snow land
to lay camp in the fields so wet
dragging their horrors along
onto the plains of their pain

Black or white;
humanity is stuck
here in the gardens of tears
Africa is a cell, the world a hell
with flames of cancer, the chains of fate

Glad To Be Alive

you woke up with a broken heart
but you found no broken limbs
you searched for healing
but found nothing
you cried out hard
and i could see you sad

you woke up weary
but you still got teary
searching for hope
down the steep slope
you yearned for a drink
before you went shrink

Glad to be alive
for another flame to shine
settled you've got time
to raise the broken pieces
happy you have the chance
to dive into the pool of choice

Meaning

I heard the music booming
Shortly then, the sirens whining
And then night came falling
Then the judge in claiming…

I heard the children weeping
For a fair meal in keeping
Fragile limbs without feeding
Yet thrown into the York of living

I heard the noise fading
The music cut out of tuning
Yet the rhythm lingering
To remind us of our meaning

We are hope just being
A faith that keeps shifting
Souls always seeking
We are one in changing

The True Vine

Everlasting and eternal.
hope in truth, source of life.
Strength in weakness, grace for humanity
companion of conscience, friend of integrity
The true vine feeds the soul.

The unending journey;
service that never cheats,
Freedom that never binds,
hope that never fades.
the true vine: faith beyond horizons.

Glory and bloom,
blossom from death to life.
Honor and praise
reign from the earth to the heavens.
The true vine upon the hill.
