Appear too flashy...
they will gun for you.
If you try to look that trashy
they will run from you.
The more you try to hide
the more you'll stand out
the more you want, fighting to have
the more it is you'll do without.
All of it is superficial
aside from select, intuitive ones
who have done the math
crunched the numbers and
quality baked our 'sensory' buns!
Select ones...selected ourselves
bravado never assumed or intended.

Trust
Trust a machine for the end of your dream
to a nightmare just beginning
when will we learn, it's love that counts
not if you are losing or winning.
Trust not the system if it won't apply
the next time you are owed your due
' if man made it.. man can change it'
one person would matter, if that person was you!
It takes years to build, seconds to destroy
are you building on shifting sand
or a rock of eternal joy?
Trust is one thing, they always say
that may make your tomorrow
or ruin your today!
'Trust' is not a precursor to 'Must.'
However, in this life..
They are synonymous.

Those veiws with overtones in Religion
fly in the face of, us with a vision
expanding universes.. primeval atomic
we find we are not alone.
Are these views now so drastic?
The epiphany of island expansion
smoking gun on the the mantle of the mansion
nothing that is..is as it was
transgression from the world of means.
A spinning neutron star
the music of a millisecond pulsar
singing us a song from afar
from millions of light years away
a place where we all belong.
Those of us with authentic vision
fly in the face.. of those rooted in Religion

Rewind
When youth is gone, things of a past
of what had long since been
tied loosely the joyful memories
old things turn up..
then a rewind begin!
For we have no choice turning the page..
forgotten shape or painted face
strike silent one afternoon sunlit stage
faded stencil or handmade needlepoint lace
rewinding memory will re-engage..
cause loss to faded celluloid
beaming they hurry inside the past
a 'lost reel' pulled up from the void!
Looped, threaded, and carefully played
trinket in hand, time traveler to..
memories from which a childhood were made.
Some feelings tie love to old things
even though faded or frayed

Music
Sons, Daughters of the tide..the music inside
we forgot we all have to go
chorus of feelings in a single image
still, there are many now who know.
That it is all based on faith
I know there is no other way
are we born to learn love..then pain, and feel lost?
My loneliness won't leave me alone today.
Are we just souls, along for the ride?
Remembering images of love inside
entertaining angels who play music to angels
no loss on the other side!
Just give me my music so I can forget
who I was, for a little bit
just give us our song, it's where we belong
we believe we can understand it.
