Sometimes (Barrel of a Gun)
Sometimes you feel the air suffocate
Wrapping around your lungs
As you struggle to gasp and breath
The chronic lapse of fear in your eyes
Sometimes you feel loneliness
Painting the land of your heart
As you writhe in judgement
The gentle wave of hate on your tongue
Sometimes you feel the barrel of a gun
Scolding cold radiating in your hand
As you tremble to grasp and pull
The whispered click of safety in your ears
Sometimes you see the murky fog
Smothering your glassy eyes
As your tears flow down and fade
The soft mist upon your stained cheek

Father, You Face the Mountain
Father, you face the mountain
I bet it's pretty, gorgeous even
You probably sit by your stone
And watch days pass, unending
But they stay right in front of you
Majestic, almost if you're facing Heaven
A place with a burning lemon drop
Topping snow glazed terrain, reflecting
Only glimmering rays of soft orange
You watch, free of guilt and conscious
Narcissistically inhaling the breeze
Enjoy, before the moments disappear
Father, you face the mountain
Someday ill watch it with you
Maybe tomorrow, maybe far away
Eventually, ill face the mountain
And sit next to my casted stone

A Fall Of Grace
Sometimes the world turns on you
Waters ravage your lonely shore
The sky offers no remorse
Beyond the abysmal pale
And God is nowhere to be found
No ones around to hear your cries
Cast your stone into the ocean
Fill your heart with silver and gold
Dear Light, hold me close
Fly away with my heart
Ill cross the roads
That you've paved for me
But I cannot find peace
In this fall of grace
My eyes are dry from the tears
I've seen the demons take away
All that has been gained
Let the water flow inside

A Message to You
You gave my soul a whole new meaning
You helped stop the internal bleeding
I wouldn't have walked these sands
If you never handed me the will to try
The rivers of life fill my hands
Without your heart, I would begin to die
You take the weight of the world
Just to protect me from the sorrow
By midnight we watch waves curl
Injecting a new day tomorrow
You helped create my structure
Bringing me into light
I would never have lived this life
Without your direction and wisdom
Inside my veins you freely flow
I'm the legacy that's left behind
