I Am
I am a city slicker,
Yet a cowgirl at heart.
In other words,
A cowgirl held hostage
In the city.
Riding a piano bench,
Instead of a horse.
Breathing restaurant aromas
In the air
Instead of manure.
Paved streets,
Not gravel roads.
Oh! How I long to ride,
For this...
Is how I feel inside.

L is for laughter - It does good like medicine.
O is for open hearts -Be willing to listen to one another, be understanding

Morning person?
Everyone else still lies abead,
And I just want to rest my head,
But I must get up at seven.
There's to get ready,
And homeschooling to be done.
'Tis wintertime,
And I get up before the sun.
I wait for him
To rise each day.
He's up now,
At seven thirty-two.
Wish I could sleep in that late,
But I have school to do.

At early dawn,
I rose from my slumber
And swung open
The garden gate.

Of plants
and watched them germinate.

If only I could ride,
I'd feel free.

Minced Fury shall be your name,
Hoofbeats like thunder,

Black velvet is your muzzle,
Soft as down.

It is good to be confident.
