She Was A Part Of The Plan A Plant (Original 09 01 2009)

She was a part of the plan a plant
By the man a six year old doll
In a chocolate dropp that would
Preserve through September’s chill
Through the winter’s freeze to the
Autumn’s turn to soften the soils
For the planting of seed before
The weed of Spring she was a mercy
Of angels who knew not the seasons
Of my patience nor the wish of the
Pick of the sticks from my paper
Box inside the wooden box
Of mementoes
Of wishes come true
She was also a part of the dream
That had last night come back again
In a gansta rap with a booty slap
The car she rode in went into the
Winter river with motorized windows
Frozen closed under the water where

Looking At Family Portraiture Original 09 30 2010

LOOKIING AT FAMILY PORTRAITURE:
Original 09 29 2010

Looking at family portrait albums
Of days long gone children at play
Party revelers growing old never to tire
Looking at ex-wives as beautiful
No stretch of imagination for
Suspension of belief -see that she is
The set decoration –the lighted stage
A beautiful and black woman glare is like
A quintet of four great jazz musicians
And a sideman –a walk-on drummer
Asleep at the end of every measure
She is a memory to wet the dreams
Of rainy dry Augusts -returns the
Roar to rivers from rainy springs
She is a memory in blank stares
At every vamp

Memory Metaphor Original 03 13 2010

Ruthlessly search memory -yesterday’s not so very
Memorable deposits put unaccountably in the black
Stashed in banks written in poetry books
Today’s gift to think a spirit full -goodness drained
Through clogged senses substance penetrates
Deeper thought - run of the mill think faithfully
Surmises indelibly written fancies personas in
Haute party dress -labels pinned onto
Poly-psychic monetary disguises –the very
Thought of you -I think -remembers deep fathoms
Each to depths of metaphor –to rules of grammar
Neither temper nor philter languages of love
But savor good to taste honey and milk in the
Sop of kisses lick of tongues to the lip sink in pitch
With love song -the smile wide eyed -opened
When done gift kiss liquor forgot new spiritual savor
Memory intrudes on awareness to sleep tossing
And turning spasms recede to blinking at flickering
streams of extra-dimensional Dural membranes
-Gift upon gifted dream -improvising on theme

So What Improvisation 07 28 09

So what? Trust the err to worldly deception
Rainbow colors bent true to light in the day
Mirror fire-fly bright the face of night
Lyrical disguise beguilingly wise -thoughts’
Feast on Pleroma song -more word set to
Sever sound jazz rarely come with elegant
Punctuation moment happens surprised chord
For chord to think of it -anyway read -word
Bumps phrased as merry-go-round bumper cars
Horse the axel power death and hope and life
Meet in an instant
Competitive plasticities reach beyond
Every horizon ping through seasonal fields
Garden pleromas sated with stones once
Sandy shore kisses on nonchalant lips
Meeting surprise with teeth and baptism
Sectional pleasures ripple through rhythms
Solo chants and counterpoint syncopation
Through echo chamber colliders stream
Toward deflation boundaries

Intelligence Without a Mentor Original 10 03 22010

INTELLIGENCE WITHOUT A MENTOR:
Original 10 03 2010

Intelligence without a mentor
Funny how time just keeps ticking
Right on away -is a play righting as
Orientated divinely thought to say
Written as Comedy -as intended
To be portrayed -it’s the soup of
Plasticity of a mind gone astray
Marked by the staining of bloody
Aneurisms seeping into the gray -the
Silence of pain and forgotten brain
Curious temperament humility and
The evil inspired disdain -within
Guided by inquisition lightning –fear
Forbade following the imperatives
Leading all the mentors to the left
And to the right –down the slippery

I Am Already (Original 09 27 09) Improvisation 20 21 09

I am already –no needs -always I look to
Need no skies to write the bend to eternity no
Order of operation code -no optic set to write
And display -my poem writes in the star’s bouquet
I am already –black and Spirit too -spirit energy
Discerns the spirit of my act I am already matter’s
Forces noisily disturbed –sky mapped rainbows
Of off-take to the shoulders of roads laid for painted
Lanes behind me imagined -spirit like arrangements
Make themselves obtrusive out of the corner
Of my eye -the love I have for my reign has will
To share never to apologize for the gift of love
Reaches stretched to the given dimensions of
Everything -I am laying down under the feet
Of defeat surfeited by my mentor’s underground
By the trillions of numbers for the stars they count
Glimmers that dim to the dark red –the flow of the
Rays of the silver crimson rain –the lights that light
Up in forgiveness for the moral indulgence in the
Judgment in the self infliction by the shit filled needle

The Animal Farm Of Old Oleans Improvisation 10 03 2010

THE ANIMAL FARM OF OLD ORLEANS:
Improvisation 10 03 2010

Pidgin argufy eats inside spirit experience
Feeds sensed love her sentences –one pagan
time -persevering assumed fictional
wisdom -obliged memories
Wrestle electric chemistry phrases,
Beginnings, and omni-conscience faith
Praises at all times -words that parody
Farmhouse porch settings -window and
Port-fire-fly lightning bugs ignite through
Hard glass mirrors reminiscent blues sung
To meet plucked strings,
Blinking stars backbeat wound guitars,
Uplifting family meetings on children’s occasions,
Write, read, cry, or sing for social education
Chant, to the rap end of songs we cry the blues,

Cellophane Spirit: Improvisation 10 19 2004

Old men have seen a memory blown by sleeping,
wails of grief kisses sucked up excavated noses
soul stirring psalms to the very top of the lung
energy boasts of a golden but feared recall, I
have seen the fingering of Miles Davis’ trumpet
wail of sex instincts on Stella by Starlight sung
Jesus looking for guileless disciples in the gilded
night I have seen a memory, driven by alleys of
Georgetown fences, noted gentries out-of-the-way
welcome entries, walked to mama’s down at the
very end of towns, P Street’s dead turn onto the
Avenue of murderer’s row in a town’s strip of
social clubs, I have walked sidewalk storm drains
from stoops of filth down to Main & Baltimore
streets, I have seen memory collect in the smaller
towns of Shelbyville, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio,
Tennessee, and Springfield, Illinois, cellophane
swathes the memory, what’s known of selected
service towns, soldiers never coming home,
where divine earth gardens of herbs, salts, and
