He Took Away My Only Angel

He took away my only angel
He took away my only survival
I was perfectly fine in the life I stood
It was nowhere close to perfect
But I wouldn't call it miserable
I was fine the way I was

I was used to hiding in myself
I was used to living and talking to myself
I didn't like sitting in the corner by myself
But I hated talking to new people more
I didn't even mind being alone

Then you came along
Bringing something I never knew
Something I strongly desired
But more deeply feared
