The years pass by
Without even giving it a try

Beautiful Impressions
She puts on her make - up with care
Not too much, just enough
For natural glamour.
Mascara to make the eyes expressive
Blush for cheeky presence
Lip gloss to put a sheen on her syllables.
Does she try too much?
Perhaps.
Like ‘nature from a bottle’
Is she the real thing?
It is more about efforts at elegance
Than beautiful impressions

What is a general without his troops?
What is a general without his troops?
Whom he knows, down to the last injury
From the naive to the brave
Digging trenches deep within.
Witness to the great reach of humanity
More so than bravery.
On the battlefield.
When one soldier leaps to rescue another

Big Shoes
Do you believe in love?
These are the big shoes
to fill.
Focus and determination
Leaves you securely buckled.
Tender, loving care
appreciates- to the heel.
Courage loves befittingly.
When there is nothing left
With humble vigil
Footsteps can be felt.

Eyes once closed, open

Body Intelligence
We got to move those muscles
Flex, stretch and tone
Breathing life into our corpuscles
For a multitude of sins on the body
We atone.
As we age, there is more damage
Listen to your body
Its needs and wants
And grant its wishes
Like to a child.
Body intelligence is refined
As it is attractive.

With responsibility
And heed not your cravings
