Chameleon Boy
A chameleon lies in the sizzling heat,
I watch it intently, pondering what color it will be,
Lying slack as can be, an ashen rock providing coziness.
I detest that chameleon; it looks like my ex-boyfriend.
A lazy deadbeat ass!
As if it heard me it moved his scaly head, turns to face me,
His protruding eyes open, his long slimy tongue slides out as if he tastes my scent in the air,
I feel a sense of anxiety as he looks at me with judgmental beady eyes, just as my boyfriend used to do.
His slimy tongue twisting on the rock catching bugs swarming in the air, poor bugs fly away! Don't let his slick tongue deceive you!
I feel for the helpless bugs, I was once a bug myself.
His color changes from ashen gray to avocado green, as he gets up, more deception,
With a final goodbye that chameleon leaves, unbeknown to him, he added salt to already fresh vulnerable wound.

Crushed
I'm so crushed when I think about you the need is so strong.
I think its going to devour me and drive me crazy.
I want you but your heart belongs to someone else.
I can't help but be jealous of her, then i began to think.....
What's it like to kiss your lips?
What's it like to feel your arms around me?
What's it like to lay with you and put my head on your chest and feel each heartbeat?
Will my daydream ever become a reality? it it meant to be?
The ache comes back and the only cure is you.
Your kisses, your hugs, your strong arms around me telling me your mine and mine alone.
My heart threatens to tell you how i feel but i don't want you to think I'm psycho.
If i had the nerve i would tell you.....
I just want to run my fingers though your curly hair.
Watch a scary movie so you can hold me when I'm scared.
Just sit and talk.
I don't want to move too fast.
Just take it slow.
Will I ever get the chance?
I'm not like the the other girls i could love you better.

My Foundation
Thanks for the support! Thanks for having faith in me!
Yeah right, you never supported me!
Like an earthquake shaking and bending the foundation of a skyscraper.
You attempted to break me and tell me I'm nothing.
A waste of space with no purpose!
Give it your best shot shake the ground underneath me.
But you will never break me.
Never bend me.
My foundation is stronger than you think.
You attempted to set fire to my skyscraper.
You spread the fear that I can't accomplish my goals.
The fire will be extinguished before it reaches the second floor.
I don't need you to maintain or tell me what's right for my skyscraper.
I can do this on my own, it's my building.
It's continuously developing, no thanks to you!
I don't need your approval to add another floor!
I don't need your permission to advance!
Go ahead and use your strongest wind, your worst storm, your most earth shattering earthquake.
I shall not breakdown.
I will be remaining standing strong, magnificent, and tall!
