The tables turn so fast
I already feel an outcast
When things sail smooth
And you settle in
A cozy corner
With calm rosy dreams

The reality crashes
Deals such blows
Leaves you with deep gashes

Why do things change?
Why cant one rest

Memories of Love

I still remember the day I met you,
You were sitting in a cafe, with a friend or two.
You looked up at me,
With those big eyes of yours.
And I could suddenly see,
I was in love for sure.

We hardly talked,
Just standing there.
You just looked at me,
And of the world, I became unaware.

I left a moment later,
I was to meet a friend, I met her.
But my thoughts were still with you.
dreamed of those moments few.

With a heavy heart the next day,

Mask

In life you meet various people,
some cunning some innocently simple.
the two types are always disguised,
by a mask of emotions, carefully devised.

When you meet someone you cant be sure,
whether their heart is corrupt or pure.
' how much more time? ' you ask,
'before I get to know, the man behind the mask.'

Sometimes you are lucky enough,
to find a soft heart,
beneath an exterior that's rough.
but alas those unlucky souls,
who meet people with selfish goals.
They call them a friend and hold them dear,
but do not realise, that they are not as they appear.

It hurts a lot when 'friends' turn foes,
For sharp thorns do accompany the beautiful rose.

Farewell to friends

Dedicated to all the friends in the world and the seven wonders of my world!

Here I met some great new friends,
who knew me right away.
It was funny how they understood,
All I had to say.

They listened to my problems,
They listened to my dreams.
We talked about love and life,
They had been there too, it seems.

I never once felt judged by them.
They knew exactly how I felt.
They just seemed to accept me,
And all the problems I had been dealt.

They never once interrupted me,

Wishful longing...

Its been a long time
Since I longed for something.....

A feeling to feel,
To add to life's appeal.
A thought to think,
Help me rise after I sink.
A smile to rejoice,
the fact that i have a choice.
A tear to shed,
At dreams deathbed.
A hug to greet,
When loved ones meet.
A pat to cheer,
So the world can hear.
A whistle to admire,
Gives wings to reach higher.
A sorrow to drown,
When you are let dowm.

Perfect? ? ?

I am a creature
of the light.
who prefers to cast no shadow,
nor enter a fight.

Yet life forces you
to take descisions,
and face
the impending implications.

There was such a fight
which I was made to contest,
where only might was right,
a thing I strongly detest.

The rules were few,
the tricks too many.
I was asked to gamble dollars,
when all I had was a penny.

I have a personal angel
I call him - Dad
With him looking out for me
Nothing can go bad

A practical man,
With a soft touch,
He's a pillar of support
I treasure very much

From fairytales
To inspiring thoughts
He's nourished my mind
Taught me lots

He sees the silver lining

Friends & friendships

As gently as the breeze,
You touch my everyday.
Your closeness comforts me,
Fills colors in a world that's gray.

You bring warmth,
With your words of care.
Which make me feel precious,
More than I hope to dare.

Even after you have left,
In my ears, your laughter resounds.
Listening to which, even today,
My joy knows no bounds.

Someone serious
Someone fun
Someone who knows his mind

Nest

Far and wide I may travel,
Explore places, experience people,
But when I need a place to rest,
I head back to my nest.

Now I am at the edge with wings spread,
ready to fly to a new high
But in my heart I know
No matter how many caps I wear
My nest will always be here.

Here are people I hold dear
who I wish to be near
Here I learnt and fought to make a career.
Here I grew strong with nothing to fear.
Here I learnt to fight and when necessary bear.
Here emotions are felt beyond words one can hear.
