A Camel's Meditation
.With knees so wounded
Unable to bend
From so much kneeling
On the splinter strewn
Ordeal of existence,
With shoulders yoked between shafts
Of dream and reality,
And hoofs time bound
I lumber, plod, dragging
The waterlogged lifeload of desire
Across traceless tracks
Of the vast desert of infinity.

A Blind Beggar
Eye sockets mere bruises
Alike to closed fists
Save whole being tangled
In his last rags
All else dissolved-
A vase dripping away
Holding time's finger
Rattling his soul
As a broken alms bowl,
Unable to knock open
A deaf world's door
To go out of this life-
Conscious how immense
Is oneself without walls.

Heart's Dilemma
When i made my dream, my heart lived,
She knelt in devotion nun like
To her idol me
So that in remembering now
The time i was part of her
And she of me, in its duration
I was. enthralled but disappointed
When the spell gave way,
And the real now manifested.
If heart can thus deceive..
Where fore not life?

Wheat
Soon the white of your flowers
Would be unable to bear
The abundance of youth,
As man's nostrils scent
The quarry in you.The whole
World becomes you scaffold
As you fall kneeling to the guillotine,
Heavy head beheaded
To feed the dying
As living virtue surviving outside
Man and doubly resplendent
At death.

A Dream
Each night, earth life suspended,
Without asking where you are going
Or who you are, you experience
As if life dreams of itself,
Content to keep happy, immortality
Behind the curtain of sleep.
It's a world you have no word for
And though it was real at the moment,
You call it a dream,
Which is lost as you awake.

Grape
Nature has created no fruit
Without a proper vocation,
For the sake of those in need.
Pressed,
What comes out-wine,
Unlike Existence that emerges.
From Nothing. Born to serve
Pours out drunkness, for free to all,
Till intoxication
Raises its head
From the crowd of the world
To say 'It's i you have been looking for'

Insomnia
Imagination has thrust in the mind
A busy bee hive, eyes kept lullabying desire
Till gulls screech through the throat
Of dying night -kee ok, kee ok. kee ok,
To stir awake dawn,
To chink in pink light.
Awaken, the heart
Of the family clock, rattles
With a clearer picture of time
To awake me.I exist only when I don't sleep.

Waterfall
With a gush from the weight
Of million of years of rocks
Leaps on high in white arc,
Crash splash,
Over its vaporous depth
Gilled to the shape of a gorge-
Luminous in morning sun
Haloed in moonlit misted light-
Berth escapes seascape of desires,
Itches in coral reefs
And hitches home, surf shod,
Nostalgic for another life.

Pomegranate
Cell after cell from shell seed,
Swathed in desire, i'm recreated,
Rounding me to completeness
Replenished with sweetness-
Made of dirt called earth
And metal named salt,
The scales still balance,
Harmonious with all difference
To become like earth messenger
The word of God, in the form of
Garden flavoured living juice,
You live on.

Names
That bird is called a dove.
It neither knows nor needs to.
That season is called spring.
That planet is called venus.
They neither know nor need to.
They manage better in fact
Without us or any names.
They do not call us anything,
Aware the name of each thing
Is its inward reality and that
Which we are in the end
Is our real name with God.
