Eternal Defeat
Perfect love is ending,
New existence is beginning,
Accept loneliness
And drive on dirty avenues
In search of any girl
Who will smile…
Every heartbeat
Is the tragic rhythm
Of eternal defeat.

Imperceptible Mist
The city streets
Cry for love
Like a stray puppy,
But like a dog abandoned
And kicked in the stomach,
Only distrust survives
As everyone walks alone
Through the imperceptible mist
Of alienation.

My Islam
My Buddhism
Is gentle prayers
Burning incense in the evening.
My Christianity
Is Jesus forgiving prostitutes
While writing in the sand.
My Islam
Is sweet Muslim friends
With hearts of Sufi poets.

Digging Your Life for Joy
Follow a new dream
Curving through twisting roads
Of excitement,
Catch the sunrise
With joy in your eyes,
Bejewel your path with flower petals,
Offer the world the perfume
Of a happy personality.

Every Lonely Soul
Cry at midnight,
Look at the falling snow;
Jesus is a cool baby
Who wants everyone
To believe in love.
I’m going to kiss
The December 25th sunrise,
I know that beauty
Will save every lonely soul!

The Garden of My Grave
As a small boy,
I would dig in the earth
With my father.
For him, it was a small garden
In the heart of the city
To raise tomatoes.
For myself,
I was always digging the grave
That I desired to be buried in.

Simply For Naked Kicks!
Meet me with
A glass of wine
And with romantic poetry
Flashing like satellites
In your exciting mind.
Let’s get drunk
In the blushing moonlight
And fall down laughing
On some straight-lace
Neighbor’s grass!

Something Special
Sometimes I fear there is no love,
I sail on a lake beneath the moon
And I wish to embrace Mistress Moon
And drown in the water of her luminescence,
I feel helpless when I don’t believe in something special.

F. Scott Fitzgerald
Love is a gorgeous grave
That steals your heart
With flowery desires and dreams
Easily cherished but impossible to save.
I’m lonelier
Than the Great Gatsby,
But I’m grateful
No one will attend my funereal.

Desire and Denial
I’m everyday blinded with tears
Of desire and denial,
Longing and regret,
Memory and the need
To forget everything I know.
I’m certain we kissed
Yesterday or in a previous life,
But it was a long time ago.
