You Are Not Dead

Every breath I take in sleep
I weep a silent, lonely weep
Every memory I store and keep
Has not a single word be said

I will not just plainly assume
That every record has lost it's tune
No, this tragedy has come too soon
No, YOU ARE NOT DEAD

The Raven Prince II- The Master

He waits for his servant atop the steep hill
Standing like a statue, frozen and still
His eyes were staring directly ahead
His evil, round eyes, a dark crimson red

The hill crumbles beneath him
He sets off in flight
And if you ever hear a menacing screech
Stay in bed, tonight

In The Olden Days

Many children moan at what parents say:
'There wasn't so and so in the olden days.
I had to read to keep myself contained.
For if there was trouble, I'd be the one blamed.'

This is true, in more aspects than one
'For many of us oldies, bouncing balls was fun! '
We, as children, get more than what they had
So why is everyone greedy? It drives our parents mad!

Ready To Rise

Like a flower, about to bloom
Like a sight being seen by your eyes
Sure, troubles will get you down
But still, the sun will rise

There is nothing that will stop the sun
From shining or glaring in day
Sure, time passes and things can be dull
But still, the sun will stay

At night, stars shine in the gloom
Lighting up the skies
And following that, early in the morning
The sun will be ready to rise

Fire Horse

It is she who gallops, roaming wild
Great balls of smoke rising above her
She flickers, sometimes dims...
But no, her light does not go out

It is she who rides the wind
She leaves a burning trail of ash
I see... she who rears on her hind legs
And lets out a whinny...

She rides true, fair and graceful
With not a cinder of remorse
The great flaming, burning, tall, heart churning...
Regal fire horse

The Grief Of A Widow

I am no fan of white lilies
As they say are flowers used for funerals
I am no fan of ashes, either
Then again, I once choked on smoke

I want you to know that, when the time comes
I want no gift
No expression of kindness, emotion or guilt
You are not the culprit, not to be blamed

So what I'm saying, is do not
Place flowers or a gift upon my gravestone
I appreciate generosity, but you are not my betrothed
I am in fact, alone

Carve the Stones

My life is molded by many decisions
Every decision comes with a con
Shall my life be labelled misery?
While I wait for what is mine, what is gone?

Some choices make me weep for what will be lost
But for every choice, there will always be a cost
To obtain my goals, and not be late
Nor too early, otherwise I'll have to wait

My decisions are the ones that choose my end
They can break my future like bones
They carved my body and my mind
Like they carve the stones

The Sun Still Shines

When all seems lost, no matter what
The sun will shine and make you hot
Who will be your friend through dark days?
The sun, of course! The sun still stays

The sun will be your endless friend
Even if it's not shining, and there is no end
To what troubles you, or worries you so
The sun will stay, and the moon will glow

The sun still shines no matter what befalls
Remember what man does if he can't run: he crawls
So watch the sun and thank it for
What no person gives you anymore

The Drumming Heartbeat

I feel the drums slowing inside my ears
But still pounding like my heart
When the drumbeat finishes, your life will end
And when your life begins, the drums start

Then, once the drums stop
There is a sympathetic moan
Like their life too, was ending
A reality overthrown

Then there is a melody
So soft it makes me cry
I usually say a happy greeting
But this time; a sad goodbye

While I say my farewell
I don't hear a quiet tune
And even though I force myself to walk away
I know I left too soon

Death's Lullaby

Death is not blackness: it is merely an endowment
For those who most need it
And for some
They show emotion to this defeat
But for others, they remain strong, move on, and keep an unresponsive face

For many years, there is a dullness
In favor of those who pay the cost
And mourn for what is lost
Death is like a shadow
It taunts you and mocks you

-until you've had enough

We cry, and cry and cry
And for many, this is never ample
Yet there is a lingering presence
Like a burning in your back
-you can look...
