Soren Valentine

Where Is My Mind?

Where is my mind?
Where has it gone?
Like a leaf pushed by wind,
it has traveled the earth.

It has become a part of the hated,
and now makes it a part of me.
Do I deserve to die under a December moon?
O mist! Cover me forever.

O tombstone of mine, do you now wither?
Weeping willows, receive me with open arms!
A shadow that died has sprung to life,
and now he's back to claim his haunt.

I'm sick of saying sorry,
repeating, repeating in my head.
My mind, trivial is its story.
You must be sick and I dead.

Raining Moonlight

You're always so somber,
complaining about life and bringing me down.
I'm sick of the blame you put on Him when all He has down is fix It.

But that was two years ago...

Now I find you still stumbling around in Unlight, but guess what?

It's raining moonlight where I am, and it's tickling my eyes.
It's a shame you missed out, but hey, that was your choice.
The Stars smile where I am and you wonder why they are dead where you are.
The answer is so simple, just keep on searching.
Who knows, maybe you'll find it.

The Rush of A Lie

Ancient mountains swept with snow,
where a dropp of water begins to flow,
is the birthplace of a small stream,
and something I would never dream.

Streams turn to rivers great,
that make sure not to be late,
that go towards swamps and bogs,
and they keep going into the fog.

Have you not yet reached the ocean,
where all the world is set in motion?
Your waters have rushed,
fed by the clouds' every flush.

You've left such beauty behind,
just for bogs and fog to find.
Your droplet has grown;
at me your lies are thrown.

Glorious Panacea

The sun shines behind Mountains,
washing over us, a fountain,
a great comfort and source of hope,
from the loving One who cuts the ropes.

You've revealed the lie
I've lived for a while,
and I'd rather die,
than see It's twisted smile.

Shine your golden light
through my life,
through the lifeless Night,
and break its stabbing knife.

Quicker than one could blink,
a new life you've made.
You've made me shrink,
and my problems fade.

Poisoning Pigeons In The Park

Planned it all out mate,
put these pigeons through sore straights.
Should teach them a lesson or two,
of where to dropp their doo.

Planned it all out mate,
put it in the bread crate,
took it to the park and fed,
all the pigeons till they were dead.

'Tis our favourite pass time,
my honey and I.
I'll not take it for such a crime,
they're pigeons after all, who'll cry?

Gave 'em a little bit of cyanide,
and threw some mercury in for good measure,
maybe people will think it suicide,
or view their deaths as a great pleasure.

Too Bad, It's Just An Illusion

Stars. Dost thou truthfully think they exist?
Oh please.

They are an illusion, just like the rest of this pathetic world.
In the end, all fades into grey nothingness.
There is no black, no white.
No day or night.
You think yourself experienced?
You think you aren't naive?
If you truly believe in Stars, you are.
Look! Make thine eyes believe they smile at you.
But know it's all a lie!

Forsooth, all of it is fake.
True light comes from one Source, but the eyes of imagined wights cannot see it.
Too bad, you almost had a hope too.

Invisible Fears

Is it just me?
Or does everyone see?

No, how can they see
invisible fears?
They are only for me,
me and my tears.

Will I be free
from this vexed reality?

At least it's not me,
not me only.
Everyone has feared,
all their hearts are seared.

Could I burn with fire
these situations dire?

Others escape fearsome waters in sleep,

A Scarecrow's Puppet

On the quietest of nights you cause a scream,
that delves ever deeper within my dreams,
attaching your strings,
of the horror you bring.

You have your hold on me,
making me choose carefully,
but every decision I seem to make,
has left me drowning in a dark lake.

I try and try to break free,
to no avail, you just laugh at me,
upon your pole you hang and play,
unfolding a thespian from the words you say.

But far off in the clouds dark,
the sound of scissors, be still and hark!
The one who will set me free,
is the one who makes you hang and plea.

Ode To The Hollow Bastion Within

Take part of the darkest of fruits and see me lose my mind.
My spirit has found repose in Angst's bosom.

Will no one save me from the bludgeoning of this life?

Why am I so angry? Where is the cause? it is hiding deep within me.
My heart cannot see it's face, and mirrors don't work in the depths of darkness.

Why do I feel so empty? I wish nothingness was more discreet.
I'm tired of pretending; where is my redemption? Here, yes, but where?

Why must clouds veil mountains? Ironic, mountains are so much bigger too. But even clouds have their Mountains I suppose.

Is This Regret?

I try to put it out,
but it rises like the sea.
I'm full of doubt;
Is this all I'll ever be?

In my dreams it burns like fire,
embedded in my mind, a clock;
am I a true liar?
Like old ships in a rotting dock.

Dead thorns given life by a witch,
coming out of the painful past,
stab me as I sit in disbelief and twitch,
and I know I'll die fast.

Old actions can haunt you,
until they're all you do.
I wish I could let go
and let the water flow.
