On the April tree's
barren candelabra
suddenly appear
green candle spears
which burst into
a green peacefire
of white winter ceasefire

call-censoring, animal flesh mongering
warhawks
and sports jocks.

The setting sun
left parallel bands in

no separating delineation
as dark pink misted into
light pink.. and that layer
merged with gold
and flowed into saffron.
