Child Heart
My body is an adult.
But my heart is a child.
I give cause it's loving.
And it makes my heart smile.
Some say I'm too sensitive.
When they make my heart cry.
Their words can be cutting.
Or thoughts they imply.
Young at heart so they say.
Love so tender and pure.
Your unloving intentions.
My child heart insecure.
It took most of my life.
To know what was true.
To pursue what you love,
Love what you pursue.

How Many Times
How many times will you rip me apart?
How many times will you crush my soft heart?
How many times will you push me away?
How many times will I have to pay?
How many times will you make my heart cry?
How many times will I have to try?
How many wrongs do I have to make right?
How much strength do I have left to put up the fight?
How much more can I take before I walk away?
How much patience is left to help make me stay?
How many more times will I hear you're alone?
How long to soften you're heart made of stone?
How long before I can have back your heart?
How much longer will it take to have a new start?
How much longer can I hold on to hope?
I am feeling that I'm at the end of my rope.
I will pray once again, that He'll help me fight.
To hold on one more day, and hold on one more night.
Hold on to a love, that she has let go.
In the hope what's now gone, can flourish and grow.

Centered
My inner light and my inner darkness.
My positive and my negative.
In the center, my neutral or balance.
My peace, will not allow my scale to tip.
Too positive, taken advantage of.
Too negative, taking advantage of.
Mind full of others, or mindless.
Full of myself and void of others.
Full of others and void of myself.
Minding my business or another's.
Apathy or arrogance.
Not centered.
But self centered, the center of attention, the center of the universe.
If others are my universe, then I don't know who I am.
I am lost.
I find myself.
I create my universe.
If I worry about where I have been, or where I am going,
Then I cannot just be.
A creation with too many directions.

The Mirror
Standing in front of the mirror,
The reflection tells me to look behind.
The focus of the mirror is myself,
And also what lies behind.
I can move to the left,
I can move to the right,
But to the mirror I am always within it's sight.
As are things past.
I look out a window,
It tells me to see what lies ahead.
In the window, I do not see myself.
I see others.
I see nature's beauty unfolding.
I know I am there,
But I am just merely a part of the surroundings.
To the mirror, it is all about me.
The mirror tells me to worry about how I look.
The window tells me to worry about how the world looks.
The eyes are the window to the soul.
Not the mirror.

His Greatest Masterpiece
There is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do
To show how sorry I really am
And my love for you is true
I hope to move the mountain
Lord knows that I am trying
Every time I speak the truth
You think that I am lying
I didn't do it by myself
Had help from God above
He showed my the err of my ways
And turned my pride to love
He knows the mistakes that I have made
And forgave me anyway
He gives me hope for tomorrow
By changing me today

The Vault
Searching for the dream.
Manifestation of mind.
Ideal of destination.
It lay deep within the heart.
Within the soul.
In the vault lies a chest.
Inside the chest is the treasure.
Many priceless gems.
Most tarnished, just needing some polishing.
The treasure lay dormant for many years.
She receives the key.
The vault master believes she will help the gems to shine.
But instead she steals them.
Entering the vault at her own discretion.
Taking only the shiniest.
Leaving the tarnished to shine themselves.
The lock has now been changed.
He will now polish the gems himself.
The most valuable gems were the ones that remained tarnished in the vault.
They were of no value to her.

Letter From My Father - Song Lyrics
How`ve you been son
Heard life`s not been well
Are you reading My word
Or are you trapped in your shell
Come step off your path
And walk with me on mine.
Things that are so tough
Will work out just fine
All you need is some faith
And you just need my will
Then your path will be straight
I`ll be waiting until.........
Chorus:
I`ll wait til you find me
I`m not very far
Just open your heart
And reach up to the stars

The Gift
His spirit is His special gift,
He gives to you and me.
When you receive and embrace it,
All His other gifts you'll see.
But you have to seek to find it,
You won't receive if you don't ask.
Then you will then see through spiritual eyes,
Not through your man made mask.
There are people in this world,
You may like or you may not.
Each have their gifts to offer
But God's gifts just can't be bought.
So often we seek man made gifts,
That benefit ourselves.
But once we get what we want,
We store it on our shelves.

What A Difference A Day Makes
What a difference a day makes.
Now I can see.
That you and I,
Were never meant to be.
You voice all my faults.
Justify your own.
You don't cut me any slack.
Or throw me a bone.
Your pain justified,
Mine's but as lie.
You're as white as a lamb.
So I'll say goodbye.
Goodbye to your hatred.
Your vengeance and pride.
You hit me with all,
The pain you kept inside.

Spreading The Cure
My lack of patience,
Caused another's unkindness.
I am impatient.
I am not love.
My unkindness,
From another's impatience.
I am unkind.
I am not love.
I want what you have.
I am jealous.
I am not love.
I brag about what you do not have.
I am rude and boastful.
I am not love.
I must have my own way.
I am demanding.
I am not love.
I am bothered by your mistakes.
I am irritable.
I am not love.
