Love Sonnet 70: My Love Must Be A Flower Of The Dawn,

My love must be a flower of the dawn,
Of pure freshness, so true of morning dew,
As in grasses of still untrodden lawn,
Or moistened lips, that yet, no one else knew;
A rose that blooms before my very eyes,
In floral burst of such rarest display,
Belies supremacy of morning skies,
That claim the most artful monopoly;
A love goddess, warmly filled with passion,
That toasts of Spring in dusk or moonlit nights,
To warm wintery nights with affection,
For brief sojourns in realms of dreamy flights;
…..If gardens speak of roses they delight,
…..My love is sure to be praised left and right.

Ambition

Seems ages ago, wish that naught was reached,
Still haunts my soul with all tenacity;
I know the Devil has my fences breached,
And might have crept into my sanity;
The call of pride keeps dinning in my ears,
As though trumpets of charging cavalries,
My move to action, deferred through the years,
Has youth and time wasted as penalties;
But unsung life lays bare upon Death's door,
As reckoning requires of feats achieved,
The annals of the simple and the poor,
Boast barely of page proud to be perceived;
......Mankind accords ambition acceptance,
......Although Hell was raised many an instance.

Love Sonnet 62 Was it my fortune, that you passed this way,

Was it my fortune, that you passed this way,
Where your very gaze stung me to alertness,
Never felt before, not over beauty,
So unlike your face in its loveliness;
Call it destiny, or blind chance perhaps,
That when lost, you did come back to be found,
While lured and lulled in sea of dreamy traps,
You escaped victorious, to solid ground;
Let Time heave up some more layers of sand,
To hide every trace of that happenstance,
But this meeting lasts and assumes its stand,
Among the monuments, our love made once;
..…For posterity, therein to remain,
…..With all the love and beauty to retain.

A Mathematician To His Love

Come integrate and let ourselves combine
And we will all the Xs and Ys resolve
My area is yours, your domains are mine
My thoughts, around your axis will revolve

Your smile traces a curve into my heart
Your wink accelerated up the beats
Unbalanced Force might soon tear it apart
Fluid Friction may lead to overheats

My love assumes no limit to its scoop
Except from Zero to Infinity
Endless and eternal as is hope
Affected not by Newton's gravity

Let my dreams intersect along with yours
We'll share a common venue where to meet
Run your line parallel to mine in course
Or coincident, would just be as great.

Love Sonnet 52 My Love Is Reigning Queen Among Roses

My love is reigning queen among roses,
Regal and prim in each and every stance,
Cleopatra looks plain when she chooses,
She is Helen of Troy held at first glance;
I pause, afraid to start a ten-year-war,
Before I dare to venture in her dreams,
Content to view her island from afar,
Although my heart with yearning madly screams;
Will Aphrodite help further my cause?
And sway the gods to guide my ship in course,
I may yet see one short godly applause,
And get assured, this love they too endorse;
.......Would Trojan Horse be fitting gift to spare?
.......The one without soldiers, empty and bare.

Love Sonnet 20 Would four-leaf clover give me better luck?

Would four-leaf clover give me better luck?
A lot better than this forget-me-not?
But rose that in your book I once did tuck,
I never know what Fate it did begot;
Shall I conspire with wind to sing your name?
Or with this vine to tie your hand to mine?
Wish that Prometheus' fire your heart inflame,
Or, Dionysus give us joy of wine;
Or wish I, to a butterfly transform,
To kiss flowers, each one that comes to view,
And if to crawl, I must, before as worm,
So long as buds would fall in my purview;
.....But Fate can't worsen more than it once did,
.....Except when you would go, so God forbid.

Love Sonnet 60 I Live In Dreams, Waiting For Time To Come

I live in dreams, waiting for time to come,
That bud I spied would open up someday,
What had been days or scant minutes for some,
Became those lonely centuries to me;
As sun would tarry long before it dims,
For night to fall, so dew on leaves could coat,
Or show as droplets on the petal rims,
As what aphids may soon regard as moat;
Yet, soon it blooms, or later, if at all,
Dependent on the time's leisurely gait,
But heart expects grandeur before its fall,
And love made it a virtue just to wait;
…..A lifetime's length could be pittance to spend,
…..If wait would last eternal, till the end.

Love Sonnet 09: How sad, my treasure store amounts to nil,

How sad, my treasure store amounts to nil,
I could be leaving bare, like when I came,
I've searched for joys, Epicurean, till,
My life results in dearth of wealth and fame;
But when I'm blessed warmly by love you bring,
A huge castle becomes of my old shack,
I'm next in line to be Egyptian king,
Though noble past and royal blood I lack;
For great treasure you are, that fills my chest,
A Kohinoor of such gigantic size,
That, Caribbean pirates might conquest,
As now I hail as my hearts valued prize;
.....This bench, privy to love when stars have shone,
......Never would I give up for any throne.

Love Sonnet 59 These banks nurtured the lotus I admire,

These banks of nurtured lotus I admire,
As farther landward, flowers riverine,
Beauties by which hunters of yore aspire,
Of nymphs, their hearts had fancied to enshrine;
Its river flows like love in rendezvous,
With Fate that caps its presaged course downstreams,
The blooms have but oblivion to pursue,
Once left to lie among abandoned dreams;
But mark, my lotus, this could never be,
Though tide may rise and ebb the way it goes,
For soon our hearts will fit an argosy,
To sail the seas to any port we chose;
…..We will discover joys to claim our own,
….In shores that only love has ever known.

Love Sonnet 64 You Are The Last Thought In My Mind Each Night

You are the last thought in my mind each night,
The first as I would start the day, to be
Aroused with early moments of delight,
As you would occupy my reverie;
Heaven could reason for the clear blue sky,
The bluebird, for the melodies it sings,
But never has my heart the reasons why,
Your love made me rejoice for joys it brings;
Might I, the Lord, for worldly wisdom ask,
To know the subtle workings of my heart,
Before I would, on false presumptions bask,
And cause this soul's temple to tear apart;
…..If fools rush in where angels fear to tread,
..…Should I go where the angels are, instead?
