Love Sonnet 28 She looks somewhat strange, yet wholesome and fair,

She looks somewhat strange, yet wholesome and fair,
My speech she muted, but within it screams,
Some special spell was cast into the air,
Sprinkled with varied essences of dreams;
I must opine, she must be really lost,
Beauty pageants are continents away,
But God oft guides dreamboats when tempest-tost,
To shore, in answer to what others pray;
As dreams aspire to be reality,
The ultimate in longings of a wish,
Vague notions of love gain identity,
And no more just in fancy realms flourish;
.....In spell that for a lifetime may be cast,
.....Fleeting moments that could forever last.

Apocalyptic Love

If skies were rolled away, like parchment scroll,
And stars faded as in an ended dream,
And world expires, after the bells would toll,
And moon dissolves with not a chunk to gleam;
But should an asteroid be left around,
On which by chance, I might yet safely land,
Hoping, that there you also might be found,
I will ask nothing more, but hold your hand;
But Apocalypse or not, here I am,
Right by your side, with my heart on your palm,
And should this body prove only a sham,
My spirit take, to medicate as balm;
......For it will last being ethereal,
......Though my body is but corporeal.

Love Sonnet 170 I figured how long is Eternity

I figured how long is eternity,
In moments, and boring hours of a day,
Eternity could be anxiety,
In that half-second before kiss would lay;
Could love be measured in eternities?
Does love subtracts from life for lack of it?
Will such amounts touch on infinities?
My heart knows not, never cares, what should fit;
I'm the happy fool, not the boding sage,
Whatever is stored in the coming bend,
Will be worth enough as my labor's wage,
Life, once made, should not worry for its end;
........Nor for its past, nor for times yet unseen,
........And so should love, what it is, what it's been.

Love Sonnet 58 There is a garden, verdant, beautiful,

There is a garden, verdant, beautiful,
With roses red and violets so blue,
The same as in love songs, so plentiful,
Except that in this garden there is you;
As I lay with the lilies, swaying free,
And tender breeze exudes with their fragrance,
I feel a thousand brides surrounding me,
Like Solomon, if all to wed at once;
Methinks, a moonlit plain is best of climes,
When not in night of darkness, such disgrace,
And so, true to the practice of the times,
I plan to bribe the moon to stay in place;
…..Talking to plants is good, as I recall,
…..At times, you would not talk to me at all.

Jealousy

Shackled monster lurking in every heart,
With such ferocious guile, that's ever found,
Smiling in pain, deftly playing the part,
But yet, waiting for ego to unbound.
With eyes, so green, and spiteful as it goes,
Deceitful of mien, posing meek as dove,
Thriving in ranks of friends and foes,
And scheming worst, by burning hearts that love.
Docile, but yet, to rage wildest in some,
Envious of stars, that other fools have caught,
Feeding on wiles, and vain desires that come,
Making counseling, all coming to naught.
Oft quick to lash at enemies assumed,
But lo! It's very self it just consumed.

Love Sonnet 177 Count It My Pleasure To Behold Your Eyes

Count it my pleasure to behold your eyes,
As my future therein, I used to see,
None as marvelous did nature devise,
That was endeared by half as much, to me;
The special twinkle that there so I find,
In manner of speech so purely its own,
Speaks to my heart, as though bent to remind,
That our love, it wears since then as a crown;
No measure applies how feelings are gauged,
Nor waiting constrained in a sense of time,
Whilst I race the clock, I felt so enraged,
At eternity spent with every chime;
........My pleasure now waits for wishes given,
........As always, a Hell of wait for Heaven.

Love Sonnet 68: I Stormed Dreamland To Rescue A Princess,

I stormed Dreamland to rescue my princess,
Imprisoned by a dragon that breathed fire,
With Thor's hammer aiding in the process,
Which caused more sleep than would Apollo's lyre;
Hermes' sandals took us out in no time,
But Princess wanted a Stiletto style,
She said, that fashion, to gods, is sublime;
What if high-heeled sandals make Hermes rile?
As monster birds might yet catch us in flight,
Princess throw off her clothes for diversion;
No trouble flying in the darkest night,
But to land in the midst of procession;
...So, to avert any landing drama,
...We declared she was... Lady Godiva.

Love Sonnet 35 I Swear, Intoxicated, I Am Not,

I swear, intoxicated, I am not,
Though high in spirits, but nary of wine,
That kiss, that kiss, how soon have you forgot,
Euphoria I since claimed as rightly mine;
When thousand angels sing in harmony,
While Naiads bathe and play in nearby springs,
The meadow teems with floral rivalry,
A cloud shows up, though no raindropp it brings;
My memory of Eden was erased,
For here, no serpent dwells, no one forbids,
To bask in love's delight, with cares displaced,
All claims of sorrow, joy always outbids;
...And so much more of endless bliss to keep,
...If not for morning that woke me from sleep.

Love Sonnet 66: After You Step Outside, And Close The Door

After you step outside, and close the door,
To leave this room, starkly in grey and black,
The question asked, as pending on the floor,
Is whether when or if you will be back;
This tryst adjourns in friendship, love unsaid,
Afraid to be exposed to pillory,
Abuse of privilege would have it paid,
To win in such a Pyrrhic victory;
Someday, if you would close the door again,
While coming in to cast the past away,
You will not be required then to explain,
Why, after all, you have chosen to stay;
……Bridges behind you will not come to burn,
……My iron gates have not yet learned to spurn.
