Love Lost Hearts
Love Lost Hearts
By Rema Prasanna
Love lost hearts....
finalized one deal
on a legal bond sheet
one escape
an effortless one
lost love dissolved
belongings divided
on ended deals
fights not a base
lifeless items don’t react
but the reactive children
their tears, one task to wipe
their souls strained
and their wings sliced
love, failed and lost on egos

April!
April in tears
for the life lost in Qinghai
from the rubbles, ruins
and from those ash clouds,
in 730 days..
from a mountainous terrain
how this tiny globe
trampled
on failed Chandrayans
failed cryogenic GSLVs
And in summer,
rain lost its charm
on unforeseen disasters….
May unwrapped
on edges, on scales
of aphelion and perihelion
Seasons change…

Song of April!
Is it that incomplete song
you sing for me April
or the soulful song of
a nightingale or a song
from the heart of Earth
A song long heard
which is lost in the waves
or one melody which melts
the rocks so hard you want
to sing for me April
A song I can sing from the
notes so perfect or the one
so loud to compete with
the wild clouds and forests
Is it that song incomplete April
you sing for me now...

Earth Safe
Death paints darkness at noon
Earth not feared of death
Death paints darkness at noon
Sun shines sky so bright
Death paints darkness at noon
unkind eyes dark so blind
Volcanoes erupt, whirl winds kill
Towers collapse thousands peril
Terrors kill, humans destroy
Death paints darkness at noon
Earth not feared of death
Rivers flow, Oceans flow
Nature green, universe calm
Earth safe, safer than ever....

Indian Ocean
You Time
don't try to hibernate
near my sand shores,
the souls you have pierced
through the needles
write in ink that is black
an epitaph for your memory
a sincere condolence note,
You Time
don't sing that song again
hide not the shadows
behind your wheels.
You standstill time
In wheels from noon to night
you run to reach the same
single point
in that rhythmless tune
don't hang above
my shores like a conqueror
I am ocean

Sing a Song Mother!
Sing a song Mother, sing again
for your daughter now grown
but sing again that lullaby
for her to sleep a while
Sing a song Mother, sing
again and caress her
sing for her and sooth
away her worries.....
Sing a song Mother, with
love and care
sing again that melody
to warm her heart...
Sing a song Mother, hold her tight
and sing again from your love
sing for her she needs only you
and sing for her to smile..

Prejudice
The fire that grasps and coffin confines
the last breath at the final countdown
of life vanquish not on one deceptive,
feign hedge where the vociferous
claims from one vivarium beholds
no testimony of the infinite truth
which hides, hides beneath the inner
particle of genuine, fine matter
where moral degradation of humanity
on undissolved superciliousness
not offer any promise to foster
the ultimate truth in its precise
true modulation and finally
on the fatal end of mankind
truth dies as a silent victim of prejudice..

Mountains And My Dawn!
Mountains call me from mystic terrains
a prayer comes from divine heart
wild flowers fall on discreet dreams
dews on garden flowers
fragrance brings placid breeze
docile numinous dreams arrive
clouds fly on confused confines
tremors shrivel on stiff caverns
listen, calm my ocean dear
hide you treasures of mine so deep
wait, wait I come back soon
impede not until I liberate my soul
allow me to go on my part of earth
allow me to reach my dawn in style
mountains call me from distant terrains
allow me to walk till I climb its peak
allow me to embrace my dawn in grace.

Mirror
Mirror
Rema Prasanna
Mirror on the matt finished wall
reflected me in real
The carved wooden frame from
an antique collection
replicate my image in factual
masures
Is it me I wonder in anguish?
The same mirror not long ago
cheered me up in mornings
where I see now only a mirage
an image of over tested age
and one forgiving hand note
a few alphabets from conflicting
dictionary of life
a façade I describe in mindless
anticipation
Synopsis of life ruled out a

Systematic Investment Plan (sip) ! !
Financial analyst penned a life plan for me
where 20% must go to stocks and shares
I did it for good but lost when stock markets collapsed
Plan number two to invest 20% in real estate for future,
hold good as an asset, I ventured for future
but lost when government acquired my future for express way
Mega on magnum mutual funds another 20%
lost again on mutual effects of
inflation and fuel price hike
Wise again on plan 20% on gold as its glitter sure for long
again that smart thief tamed my shine
on a powerful mission
Not systematic,20% remained there
in saving bank accounts
and it is safe without any designed return
