Iconoclast
A conflicted voyager
Unchaste, unrestrained.
Despiser and castigator.
A Merciless iconoclast,
Beauties destroyer.
The inconsistent up-rooter,
Lost to human passion.
Soul displaced.
Living in a distrait condition.
A gravid oddity
Waiting for the birth
Of the monster called Philistine.

In Love With The Drink
I remember her clear blue eyes;
Her hair sleek, raven black.
I remember her laugh, a tinkle of bells,
As we danced the night away.
I remember when we walked, joyous,
As if on moonbeams along the river hand in hand.
That was before she fell in love with the drink,
And out of love with me.

Out Into The Blue
Blue.
Sky blue,
Eyes of blue.
Blue eyes,
Soul deep pools.
Talking silent words,
Soul words,
Words of the soul.
A deep well.
Well of souls,
A welling up.
Soul free.
Free souls.
Souls escaping,
Escaping the body
To soar.
Soaring souls.
Free.
Free souls,
Into the sky.

When I Grow Up
When I grow up I want to be a child
Untarnished, simple, honest.
Before subterfuge sets in.
To look out of unprejudiced eyes;
Each day made a miracle.
No judgments, colour blind;
To see the wind, hear a rainbow,
To sense the earth, listen to her song.
Yes........ when I grow up I want to be a child.

Born From Stars
All of us are born from stars.
Each of us a little light of soul
That once traversed the heaven
That flickers restless to be free,
To return from whence it came.
For when we die, it will join its kind,
Rejoicing in the universal dance.
To reignite and set the skies ablaze.

My Tears
'These' she said 'are mine',
As she placed the vial in her pocket
Full of tears she'd rung from me.
'I have' she said 'a collection at home
They sit upon the mantle to reflect the light,
My rainbow of tears'
'Hearts are such puny things'.
Then she smiled her killer smile
'Now I have yours I'll crush it'

Thunk
An idle thought
Idly thought,
By a thoughtful idler
Idling away his time
In timely thoughts.
Unthoughtful at the time.
Timely brought to the fore.
Idle at four, a forethought.
Insolent in his indolence,
With indolent thoughts.
A thinking faineant.
A feint heart.
Thinking hearty thoughts
Who'd a thunk.

Broken Promises
Promises broken like glass
Shattered to lie at her feet
For all she got was lies, deceit.
This was a life of disappointments.
Love slid, water through her fingers,
To puddle at her feet as tears.
Decieved by a beautiful lie;
Left with the shreds of love.
Promises broken like glass.

Maples
The bright gaudiness of the maples
Before stripped of their bright clothes
Float like bright islands above the mist.
Illuminating the forest of burnished gold.
Its showy redness makes Autumn blush;
A fanfare, to usher in a time of cold.
Before they stand bare in their winter sleep.
Dreaming of their summer glory

Unzipped
Please step lightly hear.
In this waiting room,
Hush must be observed.
For here the sentinels watch
Awaiting new incarnations.
Souls unzipped from bodies,
Liberated from their fetters,
The double helix undone;
Ready step in to the light.
Climb the stair of stars.
Set sail on the final journey.
