Remember The Holocaust
Mr. Johnson you silly little boy
Disregard those outrageous assumptions
The hands of time will continue to progress
So only you are to blame for your failures my son
That was hundreds of years ago
Circumstances are different now
Legislation has been passed
Racism is now a serious crime
Success awaits you my boy
New opportunities are breathing life
Each and every day
So forget all that non-sense about slavery
But for Gods sake, Remember the holocaust
I realize your ancestors where kidnapped,
Raped beaten and tortured
“Red drops trickling from the wounds of Ancient crimes”
What on imagination you have
The hands of time will continue to progress
Racism is now a serious crime
Disregard those outrageous assumptions

Family Comes First
In the year of the dragon
Destiny caressed her hopes
He entered inconspicuously
Shadowed by his friends
By chance a brief encounter
Love had crossed her path
Two became one
Promises were conveyed
“Family comes first”
Life was so beautiful
Miracles were fashioned
One in his image
The other in her essence
He showered them with love and affection
Constantly reiterating
“Family comes first”
Frantically awakened
By a steady stream of calls
He rises up to leave her
Revolver in his sights

Who’s gonna take care of the children
Now that she is gone
Who’s gonna see that all the little babies
Will somehow get along
Who’s gonna take care of the children
When the time has come to say goodbye
When the little babies start to cry
Who’s gonna be right there to wipe their eyes
Now that she is gone
Yes I know that it’s a hurting tragedy
But death to everyone is guaranteed
Life isn’t promised to any one of us
So we must learn to deal with reality
Who’s gonna take care of the children
Who’s gonna be there when they call
Who’s gonna help them when they fall
Who’s gonna take care of the children
When the little babies start to cry
Who’s gonna be right there to wipe their eyes
Who, tell me who, please God tell me who

Family Comes First, Part 2
Kari begged for his mercy
Quivering uncontrollably she cried out
Hoping somebody, anybody should stumble upon them
His eyes filled with rage
Oblivious to the pandemonium he was creating
He lifted his gun and muttered
“Family comes first”
It’s been ten years since he vowed
To follow in his daddy’s footsteps
Laying there in his casket
Surrounded by all of his homies
Each one living out the doctrine
“Family comes first”
His mother dared to deny him
An opportunity to continue to propagate
The cancerous philosophies
Of such a destructive cycle
Forcing him to find refuge and camaraderie
In the arms of his father’s assassins
Constantly reiterating

True To The Game
I needed to know what’s on your mind
Willing to wager your eager to sign
The pressure is mounting
The numbers are grand
Sensing reluctance
To stick to the plan
Eager to see if the armor is steel
If your true to the code
If your gangster is real
Your anxious and nervous
Ready to turn
Reaching for lifelines
With selfish concerns
Willing to trade a king’s ransom
You start naming names
Hiding in solitude
To diminish the pain
I needed to confirm your intensions to deal
A walking cadaver persuaded to squeal
The pressure is mounting

Say It Aint So
Storm clouds on the horizon
Hurricanes building momentum
Along the eastern shores
The weather beaten masses
Huddle under battered, hand woven shelters
Say it, ain’t so brother, say it ain’t so
Military conflicts every hour,
Every minute, every second of everyday
Since the moment I was conceived
Through 7 continents, hundreds of nations
In cities big and small
The casualty count:
Civilians millions - soldiers thousands
The world at war revisited
Say it ain’t so brother, say it ain’t so
The Berlin Wall shattered

Mile High
West of the Mississippi
Once the stronghold of the Sioux
A stranger swaggers by
His spirit glowing through and through
Inspired by a vision
A journey back in time
Where warriors were nurtured
And eagles soared miles high
A vivid apparition
Lodged deep within his mind
A people trapped in bondage
Reluctant witnesses to a tragic and staggering genocide
Voices in the distant
Wailing so profound
Until a silent whisper
Thundered from the clouds
………..“In the days my daddy wandered
Through concrete jungles
Thick with tundra
Vines of hate and blind resentments
