Love Too Hot To Touch
Oh, love stay away;
Stay away.......just too Hot to touch
Oooooh....., As I press my lips down on yours
I try and take all I can of you.......
Sky 's turning blue, shades of dark, black and blues
As nestled to you
Taking my fill of you

Last Unicorn Poem
They skated away
into grace and beauty
On an edge of effortless
confidence
Beguiling us into believing
it can't be that hard
And then they raised
their wings
And simply
flew away
As we watched
opened mouthed
And we couldn't
believe it

What Is A Passion Play?
What is a passion play?
just a rhetorical question
an excuse
just a scream
I mean dream
NO! ! ! ! !
Sitting on my front porch
'1972'
3: 00 A.M.
Watching a southern wind
howl and scream
as it races across
the mountain top
I play my banjo

Harvest Moon
October tastes...
as a fine white
wine
of exceptional year...
Comes complete with
Tears of clear
gold
sparkling cold
Whose harvest moon
brims and
buckles
Full of reluctance
Making promises
never meant
To be
based on days
of future-past

The Cold Snow
The cold snow
fell upon the memories
and whited out the pain.
And the hungry wolf
looks out across the frozen tundra
and forgets his pain,
dreaming of a warm summer rain,
only to go out
and kill again...
knowing inside is trapped
the lamb in wolf clothing

1974
1974
was a year
of warm summer fun
The nighthawks flew
in the lights
of darkness
And trees crashed
in warm
winter storms
And love was
a kiss
upon a breast
And touch upon
willing lips
and fingertips
And life was a joy
to possess
And a joy
to profess

Everyday
Part I
sands, sands, sands
and the dunes
the waves and wind
PartII
the city, city, city
steel and brick
and slabs of concrete
Part III
the dreams, dreams, dreams
that I had when
I was young
Part IV
reality, reality, reality
what I grew up
to be everyday

Hands of Life
I wash my hands
in the days
And the years slip
between my fingers
Leaving them clean
except for bits of weeks
Under my nails that
are hard to get out,
hard to forget
Life has left them
hard and cracked
Scared and scaled
mangled and crushed
And so are my hands

Zoo
Can't beiieve it's over
already
Just a breath away
one more takeaway
Hide it in a hiding place
one more giveaway
One more way you lose
You can always go to the zoo
Maybe there will be a time
you could stop and think of me
I remember you and all the animals
at the zoo

Hometown
Hometown
somewhere in my past
A sometime anywhere
I happened to be
All those Sundays
and Mondays
and Humpdays
and those days
I thought would never pass...
Home, where I remember
when I can
a recollection of places
whose worth is doubtfull
Yes, I can recollect again
