I make use of what i have
crossing my finger i'll be okay
this car will start as should be
cause it gave me issue yesterday
lucky my neighbor came for rescue
so grateful, i was at work in time
today i'm hoping i would be fine
how would you react when you find out
there's nothing wrong to your car
after all those issues that happen
i limp on my seat with wondering mind
could it be weather causing all that
and it will come when it's not hot
i could buy new one but unreachable
too expensive for person like mine
so tinker with a thought i couldn't
and laugh, mumble, despise myself
how many of us on same platform
where i came is overwhelmingly norm

031310 Life Is Struggle
across the street is harris teeter
where i buy groceries and painkiller
they have a card that gives discount
it helps, it surely saves a little amount
bread that is about to expire is 50%
for wines, spirits and fish not a cent
at twilight when i don't like to cook
i settle with bread and vegetable soup
sit with my friends, listen to their stories
watch them race their grocery carts
to their waiting cars at parking lot
where their children doing homework
life is so hectic, a struggle
how parents do the juggle
time of work and children
happening at same scene
it is tiring close to depression
it is love, determination to go on

032010c Which Came Forth
then came you running with smile
grass flying from your rubber shoes
sweat flowing from, from your knees
wind carrying your hair and dress
i can't keep you running anymore
i refuse hear you say 'you're sore'
i run towards you in long stride
it took so fast i thought i glide
caught you in mid-air spin around
you're so happy, you're off ground
a quick kiss and embrace, to breathe
you look me in the eyes nothing said
our feet landed where waves seek
sand so wide, a castle i could make
we chase bubbles waving goodbye
naughty it turns around, kiss your thigh
i took out my handkerchief to wipe it off

030810 I'm Alone It's Not Fair
i'm running cold water on my hands
playing with scented soap bubbles
let me wash this dishes instead
while i reminisce days you were here
you're standing on that corner by fridge
with yellow towel drying dishes and glasses
then out of the blue we ran outside
we watched balloons passed by
very colorful once, i wonder if they saw us
from up there with all that billowing noise
my neck got stiff, you went and sit
then somebody scream 'flooding'
yes, water running out of the kitchen
drain clog up with unfinished food
it took us the whole day cleaning
i was poof and you're still smiling
it's very comforting being there
now i'm alone it's not really fair

Early Morning
my mind was thrown to wonder
why early morning chilling
not much of sane men would
wait patiently at closed gate
to open so we can play golf
even caretaker thought same
was it great alibi to go away
from mama before she regain
from her real self and be nice
i don't know, we hurry back
feeling contented to norm
to do it again on weekend
some can only play half
and hurry back to home
love those wives who come
to clubhouse for breakfast

I Know It
Atop that ridge live Inuit
Drinking and smoking weeds
No longer speak of tribal adage
No longer raise reindeer for sausage
No more salmon to come to riverbanks
Everybody left the town besides the drunks
So cold, minus ten is like summertime
School is not fun; all homework to be done
Work nowhere to be found;
besides gimmy fund
No phones, no TV,
no restroom; nature by design
Winchester 30-30 his prized possession
From time to time bags a bighorn
Boredom is his friend;
Corona is his girlfriend

040510g We Are Overfishing The Sea
a giant umbrella planted on sand
garden chairs and folding table
resting loose close to large coolers
audible mumbles from six crabbers
line along the length of the sea shore
little kid doesn't mind playing with dog
i came closer to see how are they faring
caught few male, female crabs and fish
old man sitting on a stool with fishing pole
his radio is on rock station lipsynching roll
called me, we talk, complaining about catch
he said fish has disappeared besides spots

spot is a fish abundant in hampton roads, virginia
overfishing could really deplete fish population or
use of illegal gill nets...plus chemicals that disrupt
hatching process. we must understand a lot of us
is shifting meat to fish or to veggies.

032110i Not That Much
line to pay is longer, ten minutes wait
they are so polite, they try to sell trinkets
i look at the bottom a small letters china
i feel like chinese has all the jobs available
i can't find anything that is not from there
even those davey crockett's hat, a fake fur
i walk outside with my daughter in tow
with food boxes, her food tomorrow
before i get to my car, somebody waiting
to take my parking spot, he's smiling
feeling of luck, he's thinking about
while me deciding which is good route
oh! i forgot to lock my door, i don't mind
it is old, i don't have any of importance
besides my cd's, coins and golf balls
on week days my cheap basic tools
i heard my daughter ' thanks for lunch'
so glad to hear though not that much

031910e Put In The Hole
i open my trunk and break out my club
pick out six balls and neatly line it up
stretch, bend, touch my toes for a few
practice swinging to upgrade my tempo
line up my feet to the center of the lake
recoil, release, impact, flew and wake
it landed to where it's not intended to be
good distance, slice, went out of the way
nice i would rather have bad shots now
blame not my club, i did what cause that
i know somebody is there watching me
maybe behind those windows, i see
i'm here to remind what should be done
relax, get out, get your golf bag have fun
i know you're winter rusty, so is everybody
so what if you'll lost few balls or hit a tree
you're just thinking of one thing, put in hole

031510c All I Want Is Other Side
i could break out my fishing reel now
prop myself by bridge's wall and fish
while i watch you, you guys in despair
i could even take out my cooler and chair
this difficulty could be ease with mono rail
but so many hands, minds on the trail
oh! my! what's that ambulance doing here
not this early morning, please oh! my dear
no i'm not counting the fishing boats bobbing
i wonder though what kind of fish they're catching
blue crabs, sea bass, blues, spot, maybe flounder
that's a rough life, awake all night waiting for biter
those seagulls teasing bipeds again or begging
i remember they have to control their population
because of their unsightly droppings on your cars
there must be a group of smart person to figure
without offsetting the environmental coexistance
i'm not too concern, i just want to go to the other side
