i'm watching a documentary
about young girl from toronto
didn't dawn on me there's mine
north of niagara falls, unheard
on my part; well it's reality, true
they mine their hills too, for coal
i remember cold by lake's breeze
frozen in winter and live in summer
digging my car out of frozen snow
pushing my neighbor's car to start
it's living experience from extreme
to comfort while kids are growing

it's really odd reading news
about women getting paid
for having their behind spank
then turn around, sue spanker
receiving favors is payment?
depends how you look at it
in football it's an honor to be spank
every time a player did a good play
you'll see it in television on changeover
watch-out hugger they will sue you too
do you have to keep your distance from
hugsmate; i will keep my pocket full

Night Trip To Eastern Shore
diesel roars inching its way
across 21 miles of bridges,
tunnels to eastern shore
wind blowing; i can feel
slapping waves on columns
embedded deep; sea bottom
strumming guitar; melody
flowing from backseat; bus
as we enjoy refreshments
in darkening soft twilight
i'm picturing where i'll be
somewhere ashore chincoteaque
eastern shore of virginia
across chesapeake bay from
virginia beach, virginia.

050311E it's place not fish
there's man made lake close
with three giant sprinklers, nice
banks planted with pine trees
very tall now, i have clear view
besides protruding flower plots
they also stock with fish, bass
i haven't seen anybody fish there
maybe because it's surrounded
by parking lots, highway, buildings
noisy traffic, noisy shoppers, busy
i wouldn't mine do catch and release
for a fisherman, it's fishing on a tub

I Remember Her
i saw a child all bright and happy
picking cereal boxes, drinks, candy
putting on her moms grocery cart
yes, she knows what family needs
she constantly reminding her mom
i'm all envy, smooth flow of ideas
maybe a reason my mom let us
a fear we can't decide ourselves
oh! i never did consult her of any
i just went out there do it myself
i haven't been in big trouble yet

beneath branches piles of leaves
rise weeds, young trees, skinny
vines wrap around tree trunks
quiet, dark, warm in winter night
with sleeping bag, tent for rain
can foods, gallon of fresh water
no light, i waited for sun to shine
buried my tent with leaves, i see
surrounding with my hunting scope
sleep at day time find food at night
good plan for a dreamer, why hide
world is open wide from hills to tide

042411B vanishing buildings
was noon driving my usual route
when i was still with sea service
so many changes i noticed, one
doughnut house completely gone
also gas station with small store
gives me clear view of apartments
i heard a hospital nearby is closing
not so many are sick nowadays or
they have over-estimated patients
keep on building, fear of being sick
whatever it is, it's surely affecting
its surrounding's economy for sure

lady on rocks overlooking the bay
still there with her pretty parasol
she's waiting for her gentleman
who left for sometime full moon
foxes didn't howl nor craters moan
river does flow vigorously on and on
she looks at me with question's
in her inquisitive mind, i cower
i don't feel giving any answer
to her dismay she throw her shoes

every geese left except two old
slowly walking to lake’s shore
now competing with cormorants
grass is plenty and very young
water is clear good for swimming
weather is so perfect for breeding
residents won’t leave them alone
take pictures, chase them around
for sake of doing, animal curiosity
what am i worried is neighbor’s dog
who loves chasing feathered friends
