A bird perched on the tree top surveys urban scene.
Wind sneaks in through crevices in winter unseen.
Autumn leaf aboard the breeze without a sound falls.

City on fire,
As red flames leap from
Gulmohar tree in May.
No cause for dismay,
It lifts the mood
And fills with cheer,
The clusters
Of red blossoms,
I smile, as
I drive past,
No fire brigade
Required.

Destiny has a way
