Summers Past

climbing trees
skinned up knees
the smell of fresh mowed grass
roller kates with big yellow wheels
showing off
racing down hills
playing games of truth or dare
falling from trees
but you don't care
barbie and ken making out
mom walks in
starts freaking out
bee stings and mosquito bites
all those silly childhood fights
fireworks that light the sky
tricking little sis into eating mud pie
peeling a sunburn was oh so cool
hey no running at the pool
boys were rotten
girls were dandy
