Garden Sun
There was the glint
of garden sun
behind her train and veil
and tiny shafts of light
haloed her
softening her sideways glance.
Transfixed in the wonderment
I dropped my gaze
against the too bright sun
which warmed my face as we stood
counting in my mind
my lucky stars
reflecting off my retina.
How much love is it
to stand here
and hear my own voice
say 'I do'.

Look in the Quiver
Chandeliers and Candelabras;
Twilight moonbeams
and Stealthy Kisses
are arrows in Love's Quiver
and strike the Heart True.
Furtive Glances
Silver Yearnings
Pining Sighs
melt there too.
Deep Remembrances
photo shots
dinner places;
touching hands
demonstrate
the edge breached
between attraction strong
and Love's Need.

The Fire Ball
I see this
Fire Ball
shifting;
I see its
glow
which is transfixing;
it dances
in thin air,
it floats
folding over itself
and more,
it trails sparkle dust.
This Fire Ball
transfixes me
singeing sometimes
my finger tips
and once landed

Feel Like a Simile Sometimes
I feel like a train sometimes
that can't get no locomotin.'
My wheels lumber
and my Ideals get stuck
in sideways roller motions.
I feel like the moon sometimes
beautiful but dead.
Feel like thinking sometimes
but get tangled up in emotions.
Feel like a bird sometimes
remembering how to soar.
Feel like sleeping sometimes
and not getting up,
being in bed for a while.

Soul Violence-Tina's Story
I am Violences' Victim
which scarred my soul
slammed it down
to earthly hell
seared it;
burned it;
made it cry
It shriveled
to a gnarled
stunted hulk.
There is no greater pain.
But I endured the pain.
I lived with the pain.
The pain became me'
dominated my life.
I struck out at others.
Cursed others

A Smothering of Poets
A love which ends badly-
if we let it-
freezes Time;
and we move on
covering it;
leaving it unchanged and unresolved.
We plant the last Kiss
with a question mark
knotted in the Semi-finish..
We drag our Dead Poet Love
into the future
bound and gagged
in the truck of the car
because all past loves
are Dead Poets;

They Don't Think So-The Rationale of Robert
I am a bad person
At least I have done bad things
I admit it.
Lied, hurt others, cheated
and things worse.
yes, I know.
All bad.
But I don't really believe that I
am a bad person.
I am a good person
who has done bad things.
Most I am sorry for;
some I am not as much
as I should.
But what am I to do?
A good person
trapped by my own bad deeds.

Calling Home
I always forget and say have a good day
I am friendly
with people I just met
and don't know
and they think that is strange.
I offer sympathy
but understand that I don't really
understand the awfulness
I sometimes hear.
I confess
I do not really like most of people here
they act weird.
I am the most colossal case of mistaken identify
and no one seems to see me
or understand me
and I can't tell them

A Box of Hearts
You have my heart in a silver box
wrapped in a sly smile
and you creep in my corner eye
stealthily.
You make no effort to acknowledge this
or even to open it
to take a peek
at what was given you long ago
by mistake.
The key is hidden in some secret place

Constellations
If words can speak to the human heart
then these
are aimed at yours.
If time can convey
soul stirrings profound
then these are its rustlings.
If you can kiss my soul
then please commence
and I will wander through
life's playing cards
and die knowing happiness.
I'll take these offerings
of yours
as life's true sacraments
and drape them across this
quivering heart
