Give me the Time

If I could take time and edit it
I would loop those hours with you
endlessly.

If it were in my hands like carnival candy
I would savor the sweetness which reminds me of you.
You too melt on my tongue
.
I'd put your smile on pause
better to see each expression phase
each eye twinkling
better to see that glow your face knows
when happiness rushes in.

Give me the sound effects
of beating hearts;
of rushing air;
of lungs filling;
of toes crossed;
in the afterglow;

z-Octogans and Revelation

I see the intricacies there
octagons and fractals;
web designs
varying.

Tensile steel it is said
characterize
the spider's web;
its strong.

At the corner of this beauty-ville
the spider lies
awaiting the kill
here death and beauty
mix
in darken night.

I can shake the cobwebs
from my head
but where in there

What Makes Me Crazy? -Lila's Story

They found me one day
wandering the wilderness,
hearing voices.

They found me one day
saying 'I hear voices
as clearly as you hear my voice
in this room
yet no one else hears
so that makes me crazy?
The voices denigrate me.
They deny me
and what I want is for them to go away.

Yet, when they speak
they mock me
saying
'they can't hear us because we are blocking them'
and they think you are crazy- this is what makes
us strong

Authenticity

I have this struggle with authenticity;
it pounds away at my consciousness,

I'm not really comfortable anywhere
and don't have much to say,
feel most alive
when over-emoting
or when yelling or screaming
being resentful too
feels better
than not being anything at all.

Some times I dip my oar
in the water
but refuse to row;

click on my passive face
and try not to count in the world;

cherish my secret secrets

Feed Me

I shouldn't want to
but I want to devour him;
to taste of him
to possess him
to obsess about him.
Shouldn't do that.
But I want to;
I do.

And there is no let-on-
you would not know
that it is so
that it is
this way with me.
I don't let on.
I hide it.

But it is a flaming hide;
an internal storm
which rages in the quiet-

Goldilocks

There are rules,
I know there are rules-
of right and wrong
do's and don'ts
road maps;
Nevers
and Vows
and restrictions,
warnings,
beseeches,
loomings
gloamings
and
terror things.

But I don't care.

Mistakes are mine;
mine to make
and like Goldilocks

An Icicle Kiss

'I am the Winter Flower'
she said
'the opposite of the Summer Ones.'

'My blooms
peak in deep snow
and I weather
hail, sleet and bitter cold.

My Summer Kin
know the Sun.

I live beneath
White Winter's Glow
withstanding
blizzard wind
as furies blow.

I produce
anti-cold;

Crossing Legs and Websites

She sat across from me
and crossed her legs
looking away from me.
I nodded a tiny nod
and she
looked back at me
to see
if I was looking still
at her
as she then uncrossed her legs-
her gaze
sweeping across me-
but not pausing to really look
just enough to see if I was looking still
at everything she did.

I gave her that satisfaction
and smiled.
She smiled back
flirtation accomplished

Progress?

There was this struggling;
a knife-sharp shovel blade
dug deep in Earth's rib-cage.

tall tree limbs severed
which dropp to the ground;
habit homes invaded
and brook arteries polluted;
by drugs and poisons.

The warming eye of sun-
blinded by carbon rain
and stinging neon gas
make sun-sets
and sun downs
red red red.

The animals
flee
to hovels

Holiday Seasonings

Like a Wind-Up Toy
herky-jerky
lurchy-lurchy
I careen
against the Murky
shopping, shopping
gift-choosing
Auntie present-thinking
what is best
for each and every one;

House to Decorate
Dinner to Make
Relatives to Tolerate
Neighbor's caroling
unsure I am
of what grandma
will say
to embarrass
the boss;
