Autumn Wind
Autumn wind carry me away
To a loving place in which to stay
Where the sun shines above the bay
With kind words in which to say
Where love will flourish every day
Just hold me close
In my world you mean the most
Like the sun rising over the coast
Sitting by the fire pit
Marshmallows on a stick to roast
Champagne for us to toast
Autumn wind carry me away
To a place far away
Where the passion comes to stay
Where the winds of romance blows this way
With a love that lasts all day
Autumn wind carry me away

The Door
Picked my heart up off the floor
Too busy to go open the door
All my dreams are folklore
Of places i`ve never been before
In a life that`s become a bore
Fell asleep and started to snore
I`m always searching for more
Search for the one to adore
Wondering whats in store
Looking behind all the wrong doors
As i dig deep into the core
Because i`ve been here before
Won`t come back thats for sure
With a wound that`s still sore
It`s enough to make me roar
But i just don`t care anymore
Because to be honest
I know there is so much more
Someday i`ll find it i`m sure
I just have to open the right door

Hey Girl
Hey girl there`s so much more
I hope you find what you`re looking for
When you find it i hope you`re sure
Otherwise life can be a bore
Oh girl it`s been so long
Trying to figure out what went wrong
As i sit and listen to our favorite song
I wonder if the feelings are really gone
Oh girl look at us now
What does it matter anyhow
Life will go on somehow
I`m just going to reset my sail
Chalk it up to one big fail
Hey girl there`s so much more
Life goes on I`m pretty sure
Take a walk along the shore
The sounds of summer i adore

Miss You
We used to laugh we used to sing
You made me feel like I was a king
We used to dance and loved romance
We shared a life, so glad you were my wife
We planted flowers in the spring
So glad you wore my ring
We took walks in the park
On a tree we carved our mark
What i would give to see you once again
Go back in time so I can hug you sweet Jen
All I can do is remember you
In this rhyme so blue
My eyes tear at the picture of you
My heart broke on that cold winter night
So sad I couldn`t fix and make you right
But God called you into his light
A heaven made so bright
By the presence of a new angel that night

City of life
I drive around the city of life
Looking for a turn that will make it right
Meanwhile taking in all the sites
As i stop for many lights
Wonder where I`m going
As traffic stopped flowing
Man in his yard mowing
Lady on the porch sewing
Man in his tow truck towing
Lost in the city of life
Thinking of the life we shared
Doing things no one dared
In a life so unfair
Then I realized how much we cared
How I miss you when your not near
As we twist and turn
On the streets of life
Made me remember what I`ve learned
Those memories will always burn
Through each and every turn

Autumn
as autumn calls with leaves that fall
as winter soon makes its call
as leaves turn its shade of brown
the sky turns a gloomy gray
the animals search for a place to stay
bitter frost will fill the air
the birds will all fly away
the night of day falls like prey
how i wish summer would stay
in this life of ups and downs
filled with all its different sounds
as the season changes all around
i rid myself of ties that bound
emotions that carry me far from ground
seeking a love never to be found
so i walk up this mound
in my mind i`m never coming down
then you had to come around
with a push of the wind
a snowflake gently touches down

Holidays with the family
Johnny wants a brand new car
Susie wants to hit the bar
Mindy wants to be a star
Cindy just goes too far
I just flew in from mars
Sit at the table and eat some turkey
My family only likes beef jerky
They really are quite quirky
Aunt Jane, she`s just a pain
Uncle Jack just follows the pack
Jim just hits on Kim
Happy holidays to him
Has anyone seen Tim
He`s in the pool taking a swim
Where`s everyone been?
When the tree still needs to be trimmed
Uncle Jerry just farted downwind
Uncle bill drank all the gin
Fat Jim needs to hit the gym
Family dinner with all the winners

Train of fate
I see life passing by
On this train that I ride
All the people I sit beside
What is it that they hide?
How do I communicate?
On this train that`s running late
Often times tempting fate
Looking at my watch checking the date
In a world with so much hate
I listen to a heated debate
Like a fish hooked on the bait
On a train where I sit and wait
My emotions locked behind a gate
My heart beating at such a fast rate
Yet my mind very sedate
Thinking of a better world I wish to create
Where all the people are feeling great
Where love, hope and joy are the motto of state
But i`m stuck on a train running late
Pondering whether I should temp fate

Rich Man
Men are measured by the wealth they accrue
at least by the women i knew
otherwise your going to get screwed
for the poor man stands no chance
as the tax man takes his ranch
he`s left standing at the dance
not enough money in his pants
so he can`t afford romance
he doesn`t make enough you see
in order to pay her fee
he can`t take her far in his hundred dollar car
so she falls for the rock star
he just sings and plays guitar
as they dance at all the fancy bars
smoking fancy cigars
until she needed emotional support
he never did report
he just filed for divorce
moved in with his mistress of course
never showing remorse

The Wind
The wind will blow another breath for me
As the strom survives it`s trip from the sea
In this life we learn, what will be will be
And as i walk along this empty field
I feel emotions peel away from me
and the faces of what could have been
just blowing in the wind
Just another dream i see
Is there nothing left for me?
When I reach the door
I never find the key
To a future so very hard to see
Like a honey bee searching for a queen
and the beauty that she brings
Into a life thats just a dream
so hard to find the key it seems
As the wind chimes another tune for me
Lifts my sail and takes me out to sea
All my life I`ve been searching for a key
That will open my heart and set my emotions free
