Two Shadows

Moral codes under black lace
Permeate the sensuous epidermis
We touch in sanctuary
We meet inside the dim lit cathedral
Past the sinew
Past the circus
There are symbols on your walls
Conversion is not dogmatic
Love walks these stone alleys
Narrow streets where artists paint
Romance is a blue sea within
Romance is dangerous like a city
You see my dark corridors
You see my sharp edges
I am the defiled, the hopeful
Please see my warm fire

Your eyes are my candles
Self-portraits are incognito
We reveal one another

Your Fate

No longer frozen in silent forests
Golden bow with silver arrows
Flight of the heart into recluse
Barren amidst the Gnostic myths
Rapacious words mean nothing
Broken temples of hollow history
No rest only the endless flight
Do flowers grow in monastic bliss?
Paths to the river narrow and bold

Marble centuries burn like Rome
Oblivious bridesmaids stare in mirrors
Every vague reflection covers fear
Austere prophets regiment the clock
No conscience is sealed by Jerusalem
All the condemned parade their manna
Garlands of the new age dry in furnaces
Edifice of verity only balms the individual
There is no collective entrance

Lovers Never Grow Old

Trees of light hail the day
Climb the ladder of ivory
Pythagoras has left the mortal
The measure of all things divine
Bright aqua suns sire minstrels
The dragon cannot escape
Trumpets call the children
Dreamers of the rainbow
The unorganized call of love
No grandiosity where masks revile
Souls travel the sublime gate

Now the tides bless me with awe
Sleep in waves of Celtic tribes
Blue fish amidst the coral
Villages drink mountain streams
Basking in sanctuary
Visions and dreams dance
Deep beneath the obvious crust
Time and matter were sons and stars

Pell Grants

The USA has fallen behind in college graduates in many areas especially the sciences and technology. We need more kids with ability graduating from college and getting master degrees etc. Pell grants allow a young or older person who cannot afford a college education to get one. People pay the loans off by the percentage of wage they make at the time. This democratic benefit to the middle and lower classes would be dropped by Romney/Ryan and the republicans if they are elected.
The implication of this would be college is for the wealthy and the extremely gifted with scholarships or in sports. Is this fair? Is it right for a young person with an IQ of a hundred with rich parents to go to college and another child with an IQ of a 120 with parents that can't afford 20,000 dollars a semester not go? Is this the America that you want? I am not voting for people only but justice, equality and a real America with real opportunity for all not just the rich.

Fallen In Love

Calico soul hard like the wind
Frail shadows dance like leaves
Ravaged with ghosts
Vials of chartreuse dreams
Deep dark art flowers rain
We reach for symbols of dawn
Smooth silken taboo
Tired of eyes adorned in blood
We have fallen in love

Sage corridor where shamans sigh
Relish your fallen envy
Forged in meadows of swords
The hour of slaughter
Arms and limbs gone
They cover the chaos with flags
Laureates bemoan locust visions
We have met in the precipice
We have fallen in love

A Monks Library

Remember the amber dawn of joy
Great rocks reflecting fire
Standing on mountains of angels
Dreams of lions in moonlight

Breaking fallow civil prisms
The valley below sleeps
My sword is golden change
Defined by olive limbs of spring

Incessant jackals cry with scorpions
Weakness sleeps
Blood scaffolds
Menagerie of the passive iniquity

Pity cripples the crooked street
Malevolence has no stars
Ambrosia of the erudite trees
Laquer ghosts

Every Tear Dried

Golden dreams shine softly
Tears flow like Holy streams
Love broken by time begins again
In the open field sojourners meet

Reach for the other side of sorrow
All joy is a shadow of paradise
Nothing says goodbye forever
Everything is healed by the light

Hope can bare every heavy trial
We go where the rivers laugh
Out my window the moon rises
Tonight the stars are my map

The mighty sun lifts my soul
Go out and help all the lonely
What really matters is real love
Stripped of pretense we journey

Beyond Gold

Angelfish swimming like fire
Tender moments seem more rare
Mountains relish the bright moon
Sounds of the tide caress the sky
I have given up all political plans

Eternal voice seem to rise in silence
When the wind whistles there is life
Relish yellow and white
Green and blue breathe free
Meaning is visceral in daily bread
Moments connect sanity with rivers
Here and there flow seems too grow

Red apples in an old back yard
Sprawling maples in the breeze
Natural sounds that have no ghost
Squirrels forging amidst the oaks
The stars are gentle pathways
Beauty in simple awareness

Blue Planet

Words of life last longer than diamonds
Byron writes with rivers of moonlight
His quill flashes through the centuries
Soul beyond the grave like distant stars

Everything glows tonight beyond sorrow
This moment contains the eternal past
Sown in time and raised immortal
The Moon of earth like topaz children

Planets of turquoise visitors tell the future
Born of a million fires of jubilant change
Orion's belt will lay down with the Lion
Man became a living soul created free

How glorious is the golden circle
Infinite love waits behind all discovery
Vast eternity in a moments awakening
Go out and look beyond the Vail

Poets of the Shadows

Peripatetic waters a volatile knife
Prodigy of violent words
Poetry of silk madness
Caustic like a mad river
Rimbaud shelters the tragic
A night of hallucinations
Dark fame like a snake
No respite for Verlaine

Some deny the dark paths
Some act like fields of lilies
We are the satyr man
We are the sphinx of deserts
Split and gnarled with thorns
Wrestling with lions of lust
Some embrace the edge
Dark cloaks thick eye make up

Joyce cryptic as a Gaelic cemetery
New language rises from the crucible
