Two Edged Sword
Down there past the pearls
Way past molecules
Past genes and planets
Past the ancient tree of the
Knowledge of good and evil
Living worlds of choice
Do you ever get a glimpse?
“When the doors of perception
Are cleansed we shall see things
As they are, Eternal”
Who shall cleanse these doors?
Wise men marvel at a baby king
Flesh and blood cannot enter
Those that try are burned alive

Doors Open
Whispered prayers travel by sunlight
Moonlight on swirling leaves of fall
New England villages with lighthouses
Meadows virgin with pure red sumac
Nestled in quilts of ancient winds
Ghost eyes peer from forests of time
Light a fire and sit with your coffee
Replete in golden reds of autumns love
Mariners on ships that never return
Names written on brave walls
Moods with planets from other galaxies
Every idea is a doorway of old future

Sultry fangs hidden in love

These purple chairs like hooves
Fear opens French windows

Languid world without color

Shadows Forever Free
Forsaken rooms wash with bold shadows
Quiet corridor seems to grow cold
Catherine walked the sweet spring meadow
My love will never become old
Altars with candles burning loftily
She is gone but whispers softly
Wine glasses elegant as the day she left
Time staggers like a whispering oak tree
Her gown hangs with its soft blue felt

High on a tree a red cardinal sings
Snow melts under a free blue sky
It is Sunday and church bells ring
I love to watch the spring geese fly
