Bitten
Brazen glass moon like ice eyes
Fever in the chill of her gothic mask
Bitten by a creature of moonlight
Bitten and stung by her fire and touch
I am in the corridors of wet pain
Covens laugh in the theater of soul
Is this haven?
Is this shelter?
I walk where wind ghosts dance
Her high heels prance like panthers
Candles of cinnamon witches
Goddess of ancient fire
Her wolves are hungry pets
Released from cages deep within
Misty ravens of the labyrinth of sin
Some of us are afraid of castles
Some men are bound like caskets
She has taken the key from the dungeon
She tells me of kneeling

Language of Soul
Purple gloves stripped of shadows
Jazz dream surrenders into bliss
Something innocent like meadows
Singing chidren make their wish
Music is a mystical fire
Theater of every desire
Embellish your decorated tears
Let everything come out of you
Express all that is fine and dear
Dress in the deepest red and blue
Like flaming forests we dance
Sing in the wind take that chance
Music is spirit with guests of honor
Parables sigh metaphors of time
Secret dreams of sacred Father
Longing stars that need to shine
We lament then we rejoice
Let every heart lift their voice

Flowing Sea
I long for the true sea
No illusions, no pretense
Tides that ripple with mystery
Seagulls free like the breeze
You are centuries of shells
You are deep light on the shore
You are hope shivering in my bones
Everywhere the blue sky lives
I meditate like a saint
Sweet waters of life
The whispers of dawn
Purple blue worlds
Ancient wisdom
Emotions like driftwood
Romance radiates
Renewed by a deep angel
Golden sands give way to moonlight
Shadows wash the night

Living Joy
Past the broken dreams
Far past fountains of sorrow
No foul bird flies free
Hope is an endless tomorrow
Lay your fears by the way side
Diamond shores in the regal sun
Golden smiles from eternal sky
Today my journey has just begun
Soft voices from the tall pines
Summer roses in the heart of faith
Everything is growing deep inside
I know I shall be shown the way
Fountains flow in secret praise
The land of gardens opens wide
My soul transcends a world of pain
I see blossoms of yellow and white

Novice
Clear fountains of pure life
Penetrate the hurting with love
My family has died
Clouds drift over the blue sky
Sometimes I am afraid too love
I do not want them to die
It can be a terrible thing to be alone
Why I am here I do not know
I wished I was home or felt at home
I do know there are many like me
There are many hurt and grieving
Many lost and confused
Maybe I am broken for a purpose?
I think Gods love reaches for the hurt
Pride and self-righteousness does nothing
When I contend and try to be right
When I puff up and think I am better
Then I do nothing in Gods love
A friend was over yesterday that had a stroke
He could hardly talk and his right arm shook

Theodora
Hyacinth windows made of Chrome
Out the door the madness roars
See the summer vines glow with thyme
Vassels of the Queen of light
Beautiful as mysterious Bora Bora
Deep and lovely like poetess Theodora
Shall I suffer like shells without a sea
You are the wine of Chaucer
Fields of silver verse
I am the prisoner of your charm
She is the gracious moon adorned
Longing for sweet beauty of Theodora
Fountains of joy tresses the summer
She ponders like a breeze of lovers
Fruit trees with blossoms so true
Starlings sing in seas of blue
Some Goddesses are angels of lore
Hear the bells ring for elegant Theodora

I need a past
Dalliance frozen like a tight snare
Recorded off wood floors
Appreciate a melody felt
Delivered and waiting for you
Does she love me concerns
Nerves as weak as the moon
My stereo is so nice
Writing in my dining room
Strong coffee and cream and sugar
I fall in love so easy
it's hot with a breeze
Modern poetry is so free
Some control freaks don't like it
Do you want a slice of my life
a little slice of time
Real and true and splintered
The music is sweet
I still somehow think I touched you
Going for a long walk in an hour

Asleep
Sound asleep in a Eugene O'Neil play
Who shall melt the thick ice?
We all run for the shadows and hide
The day reveals device and bondage
Trinkets, ideologies, sordid idols
Raise your glass high to the trivial
Hamlet in forlorn trials of being
Define your mask without soul
Meaning becomes a hollow corner
Shall we wake the drunken actors?
They know of their coming death
Let them laugh, boast and dance
Let the dead bury the dead
I know what is in man
Can't you watch with me one hour?

She Takes Away My Sorrow
Upon the mossy grass she lays
Dreaming like the sun
We see the butterflies on the meadow
Hear the crickets by the woods
Evening brings magenta with violet
The moon basks like a lover
Leaves sigh in the soft breeze
Now the stars shine with fate
Without your love I fade into the strange
The Milky Way smiles like a warm world
A campfire glows like paradise
The coals of love burning like my heart
Pine trees are mystical witnesses
We sit on an old log holding hands
Darling can you hear the elves laugh?
Voices like candles of angels
By the river time is a gentle rose
Life is my friend not my foe

Thrice
Sappho crying on the awful islands
Blistered by vain Venus
Forsaken by the Greek colonnades
Pinnacles of Zeus thunder
Marble phallus cold as hemlock
Infertile moon on the wet silk
Jewels as red as lechery
Piquancy avatar lubricity
Thoughts begin a veiled soul
Duplicity burnished in blue diamonds
Zoroaster justifies the winter heart
Her pelvis arches for crouching tattoos
Taboo in the tribes of the aching moon
She comes in the vagabond vestures
Hearth lit by cruel whispering priests
Everyone is naked under the sky
Whoremongers hide in religion
