Heavens Mercy Seat
So you think you’re all alone?
Gnarled up in a ball
Bent and twisted like a war
Oblivion like jewels of opium
Disappear into thin air
Under the sheets
Sleep forever
We are waiting for you
Come join the choir of the broken
Come like a princess of the cross
The world has no hope
Answer your phone
Answer your emails
The soul cannot die
Holy Holy Holy
Lord God all mighty
You may not want to go to heaven
But you sure don’t want to go to hell
Everything is fading like a lie
One big fat lie

Breaking Bread
Monolith of attention
Egotist of order
The prim proper artist
Do you see the bleeding?
Do you see the heartache?
Dark men in sheep's clothing
Sow the sweet light
Grace has its own paths
Walk by the rivers of charity
Goodness consolidates
She has a soul tender as starlight
Leave the thorns and touch the real
The evil use tricks
Hide in poetic cloaks
Act like teachers
The fake love mirrors
Sigh with lilies of field
True wisdom has humility
Beauty is regal meekness

Breast Fed
Cover me in cyan rivers
Open the hidden laughter
I am the naked blue thorns
The victims of rude steel
The cries of proletarian skies
All these prayers have armies
They march
Great stones fall on love
Hail and fire
Silver rain
She holds my hand
Your man believes in justice
Now the wind is crying
Your heart holds the wounded
Ambrosia icicles
Canticles of fiery ghosts
Riding steeds of immigrant dreams
Our love is tumultuous Steinbeck

A Minor
Ravenous sorrow a sculpture of indifference
Illusions like a wake of dark red purple draperies
We are the expectations of a grandiose prayer
Nothing real breathes for long
Pour your joy from streams of time
These cracks in the broken wall
Your love is a distant summer
Kiss me until I know the stars love me
Do you ever feel the cold until you’re numb?
I know you are my mirror
I know we are a couple of minor chords
People need me and I need people
Let’s keep each other warm?
At least as warm as we can be
I always liked A minor

Courtship
Violet mantric reeves of crinoline lips
These dreams are trumpets of love
Inside golden halls
Whispers of the gallant ghosts
Relative moonlight of gossamer rings
We know angels are here
Don't be afraid of the ancient relics
Sometimes shadows talk
Sleep with your new kitten
Your quilt is old and mystic

Mystic Tubes
Trees with fruit of supple desire
Orange frayed with her fire
Desert winds sigh like whips
Her lips consume my crypt
Bask in wet sumptuous brass ships
Evening moves with sequined silk
Lost on islands of golden nectar
She brings me the inside rivers
I am beaten like smooth olive oil
Alley Cat prowls the night
Screens open with rain
Chacras open to her wolves
She comes into the gossamer visions
Wet hungry panthers
Cryptic whispers in the shadows
Welts and scratches
She is awake like satin ghosts
I am laid for hours by mystic tubes

Copycats
Sometimes we need to be ourselves
Like when we need forgiveness
Do we validate ourselves by writing good?
What’s good? Impressing, being witty?
I think it is being broken and real
Self-image of a dying soldier
Someone praying with final words
How would you say goodbye to your mother?
Would you rhyme and use big words?
Can we be intelligent yet not pompous?
Can we be artistic yet full of charity?
It is so easy to call taking giving
To use the crowd as a mirror
To use style and form for soul
Copycats are hollow as a tollbooth

Joyful Song
Refuge like a child sees a Christmas tree
The surprise of love
Baby your eyes bring me songs
We all need songs
Time is a weight of one way thinking
Life is open like spring flowers
Nostalgia must change
Hope never is the same smile
I cry for your mind
You wait for what is gone
Now the stars are talking
Old photo' s with people who loved
Don't you see they still do
Live your life to the fullest
I still see the Christmas tree
The river never quits flowing
One bend is just part of the story
All love lives forever
Go make a joyful song

Feel Every Note
The theater was filled with desire
Desire to be vibrant
Living art that authenticates
You are a mecca of color
You are millions of events
I am just a port
Ships of joy's labyrinth
Time lands in abstract fingers
Touch is a spirit rendered
Leave the symbols of occupation
Flee the state religion
Simple humanity groves
Let the blues dance like Muddy Waters
Sing like the Gospel choir
Light shines in the dark cages
Travail of a child born
Jazz as poignant as a PHD
Music is beyond evolution

We Always Remember
Pizzicato yarns of yellow daffodils
We are ruffled shirts of crinoline skies
Children of the Golden gate
Eyes of honesty
Eyes open to the stale vision
Dance now on the green gardens
Swirl amidst the happy stars
Our time is a taste of freedom
Anoint the flowers to speak
Banners of a better world
The coming sacred age
On fire with serendipity
On fire in the universal temple
Harmony sails like free doves
Dreams permeate
Visions like prophets
Streets fill with the innocent
Now we pray
