Lonely acoustic religion

Cordial temple
Impervious idealism

Dorian swords assail Ezra Pound
Fascist dreams crumble into the ground
The image of man writhes in the mirror
Resolute power needs insecurity and fear

Thrill me with your middle class dream
The consumer phallus of constant need
Organized into tiers of pagan power
Everyone forced too climb the tower

Rise in wings of fragmented bi polar soul
Feel wanton pleasure of released control
Take your sweet medications and survive
Embrace the ubiquitous image and thrive

Sentries guard the door
First cup of coffee bribes them
Creative flow mixes with clouds
Cold spring day of inward soul
Yellow green imagination
Easel of words
Brighten the world with a bird feeder

The flow of the sea fights the frozen
Memories find corridors

We adjust like birds in flight
The pounce of wind flutters the pines
We are sensitive
Dawn is never the same
Darkness and light
Time and eternity
Love should win in my short freedom

Nubian caress, your joy repressed
Sargon kingdoms where thorns sing
Restless winds that steal dreams
Nothing vulnerable in the purple night
Candle burns like a séance
Her ghostly gown of blue moonlight
We make love without love

Can darkness warm the coldest heart?
Have you cut yourself to feel?
Do tattoos elate Aphrodite’s appetite?

Regal flowers show their true nature
Audience with the king is sacred
Just as I am is paramount
Refined by stars and searing light
Pruned in the garden of fire

What is love without dharma earth?
Pillars of a city scalded in tears
The sky clasps the sweet bride
Wait in robes white and tried
New wine from the immortal vine

Serene morning shines with hope
The sun is gracious like a well

Fondled in moss and warm ferns
Earth invites the soul too gratitude
Let the wind speak its deep heart
Replenished by waters of joy
She is a forest filled with song
Moonlight swirls on the serene river
Her eyes of star roses glow
Under the boughs of mystic oaks
Streams chant with wood gnomes
Sky clasps the earth’s supple breasts
Lovers in meadows of elves and lilies
Lovers like the ancient tides of time
