A Snow Scene
When I walked out this morning
There was dandruff everywhere,
Dandruff on the pathways,
Dandruff falling through the air,
Somebody huge was high up there
Combing and combing his shaggy hair! !
'Why don't you use some shampoo? ! ' I shouted.
No answer.
Then there was a roll of thunder
And I ran back indoors.
I didn't know why I was frightened
But I thought it was rather sinister:
SOMEBODY was definitely up there,
Combing and combing his shaggy hair! !
Later a chap with a yellow face came along

Beware of the Ghoul
Pour me a heady cocktail
Of Sex, Religion, Death,
But do not turn your head away
From my stinking, rancid breath!
I've found my joy in every grave
That's full of bones and dust,
Your God will never, ever save
You from my raging lust!
How putrid is my highest dream,
Where Angels fear to tread,
My knowledge will just make you scream
And wish that you were dead.
I've seen a lot of life, my friend,
More than you'll ever know,
And I hope you'll never meet your end
With the demons here below.

Devil's Advocate
It comes as some surprise
That you've pulled the wool over so many eyes,
But what exactly do you want me to do?
To agree with your point of view?
You'd like me to compromise;
Well, I'm sorry, but I don't have a clue!
And I don't think you're very wise
Making all this noise and hullabaloo
About a son of God who dies -
You expect me to be like you?
To fall in with these ancient lies
About some poor, misguided Jew,
To get down on my knees
And pretend this fairy tale is true?
You say he died to 'set us free'?
Well how does that apply to me?
I'm happy in my 'state of sin':
They should send you too the loony bin! !

At the End of My Tether
I'd thought a lot about suicide,
Something was wrong with me inside
And something told me it was time I died.
I wondered if it would help to pray
So I knelt at my bed at the end of the day
But the voices in my head wouldn't go away.
It was obvious to me I'd run out of luck,
And reasons for living had started to s*ck,
I could even try harder but what the f*ck?
I'd never had a chance to prove my worth,
I'd been crippled and tortured since my birth,
I was feeling a stranger on planet Earth.
I was no longer ready to believe the lie
That someone could tell me the reason why
Lambs go to the slaughter and the innocent die!

A Memory of Lost Love
Sometimes I see her in the street,
I never greet
Her and our eyes don't meet,
You'd never think
That once I held her in my arms,
I captured those elusive charms,
My hands were on her hips
And I kissed those tender lips!
Was it a dream?
It seems so long ago,
Another time, another place
That I caressed that face.
I wander to and fro
In futile loneliness
And the pains of loss increase
Each time the memories return
And I am left to dream and burn -
Bring back the past! !
The ecstasy was too intense, it could not last,
I must forget her now,

A Tale of Teenage Lust
There's nothing quite like teenage lust,
All the Maybe and the MUST,
Hiding in the school latrine
Where you can't be heard and can't be seen.
There's nothing quite like teenage lust
When your boring teacher hasn't sussed
What you've done or where you've been
With thoughts both lurid and obscene.
But what about the Lonely One
Who's had his solitary fun
And finds he simply can't relate
(He only knows how to masturbate!) ?
He doesn't see the point of it all,
So he turns his tearful face to the wall,
He'll never find a loving mate
But solitude will be his fate,
So with a little selfish pride

Mysterious Moggy
If you know anything at all
You'll know that they were born for sleeping!
Curled tightly up in a little ball
Cautiously keeping
The secret of their feline soul
From humankind like you and me
Who pry and poke and do not understand
That in their spirits they are free
And will not answer any demand
But keep their cat integrity.
They know we will fulfil their wishes,
Plying them with the most sumptuous dishes -
Can't you see we're simply their slaves
And this is the way the feline behaves?
My cat deserves my full attention
Despite her air of condescension,
I don't know how, but secretly
She's made a little pet mouse of me! !

A Prayer in the Dark
In the dark midnight
When I'm lying in my bed alone,
When the rain lashes my window
And the wild winds moan,
I long for you to be with me,
I can't bear it on my own.
I listen to the folk next door
And hear the baby cry and the old man groan -
We're each of us in our private hell
And needing love, but who can tell
What the dawn will bring?
The birds will sing
Their morning chorus
And perhaps the sun will shine,
It all seems so irrelevant,
The world has got no meaning,
Unless you will be mine;
I'm just a blind man now,
A cripple who can hardly see,
Please break these chains of loneliness

My Testicles Ache
Father in Heaven, I don't like to grumble,
You know I've always been obedient and humble,
But I have to say I dislike intensely
The way that the dice are always loaded against me!
Why can't I make love to a gorgeous blonde
Who'll take me to heaven and further beyond,
Who'll give me a taste of Your Paradise -
Let's face it, my God, wouldn't it be nice! ?
Instead I am left with my third-rate dreams
Of a lover who's falling apart at the seams -
She's fat and she's ugly and she doesn't care -
I could have hoped for better despite my grey hair!
Be merciful, Lord, and give me a break,
I feel quite delirious! My testicles ache!

Can't You Take a Hint?
You dare to look me in the eye
And still repeat that same old lie,
How I have hurt you, made you cry
So all you want to do is die?
Give me a break! Do you deny
That you knocked around with that other guy
And made me look a bloody fool?
Do you really have to be so cruel?
Do you really think I'd fall for it
And eat the same old stupid sh*t?
You led me quite a song and dance
And now want pity? Not a chance!
You've come here crawling much too late -
I'm sorry but you've sealed your fate,
Now Mr Nice Guy's had enough!
If you want sympathy, that's tough!
It's time to pack your bags and go
And learn the meaning of the answer 'NO'!
