A Song of Experience (for Allen Ginsberg and William Blake)
How many men have masturbated
And afterwards felt quite deflated?
Testosterone is overrated
Though it makes their egos so inflated!
How easily their lust is sated
And nothing at all has been created
Except a void within their soul,
A desolate and gaping hole
That should have been filled with smiles and laughter
And songs of happiness ever after,
But was destroyed by intellect
That likes to ANALYSE and DISSECT
And does nothing less than quite destroy
Each man's relief and simple joy!

Nativity Song
At the coming of the little Child
Let bitter foes be reconciled,
Don't let violence run wild
At the coming of the little Child.
At the coming of the little Child
Don't let innocence be defiled,
The world was changed when His Mother smiled
At the coming of the little Child.
Never again let blood be shed,
But listen to the words of the dead:
'Let all religions live in peace
And all extremes of hatred cease,
Let gentleness conquer strife and war
And pride and arrogance be no more! '

Anarchist Song
Who cares about the middle classes
Sitting on their opulent arses
Eating cheese and drinking wine,
Who cares about these privileged swine?
They send their kids to Public Schools
And raise a generation of fools
Who never have an original thought
Or question anything they're taught!
They're happy with the status quo
And think that it's a JOLLY GOOD SHOW
That poorer people have to sweat
For every little thing they get,
Yes, Mrs Thatcher taught them well
And the rest of us can go to hell! !

Love Letter to a Friend
Lying awake in bed at night
Reading a book by Edmund White,
Wondering if I'm a little bit gay
And thinking of someone far, far away.
What is he doing? What does he dream?
Is the friendship much more than the friendship would seem?
Is some sexy young woman holding him tight
And stealing him from me in the cold, Spring night?
How can I know if he'll always be true?
Listen, my friend, I'm talking to YOU! !
I'm feeling so lonely, lost and sad,
And you're the best friend I've ever had! !

Love Story
'I love you very much, ' she said,
'Let's snuggle up in your single bed! '
'It's nice to know you really care
My little naked teddy bare!
'Let's have some fun before we're old!
You feel so warm! The night is cold!
'The hungry stars above us shine,
But I am yours and you are mine,
We'll get married very soon
And have a fantastic honeymoon! '
A happy groom! A happy bride!
She said that she was satisfied -
It was kind of her, but he knew she lied -
How suddenly their love had died! !

A Loner's Manifesto
Wherever I go I can always hear
Them saying behind me 'He's a queer! '
Wherever I go I hear them say
'That guy's peculiar, he must be gay! '
But what if I am, who gives a sh*t?
I'm just a bit different and there's an end of it,
I couldn't care less about the common herd,
Whatever they say, I ignore every word,
They like to gang up on a solitary guy,
They'd like me to suffer and I don't know why,
They're narrow and stupid and I don't give a damn,
One thing's for certain, I AM WHAT I AM! !

Another One Bites the Dust
Caroline Hamlett was a bit of a b*tch,
She went on the game to make herself rich,
It was far more urgent than a seven-year itch,
But she didn't know where it was leading.
All mem are b*stards, I've known quite a few,
Drinking and gambling and having a screw,
They haven't got anything else to do,
It's a habit that they are feeding.
Caroline Hamlett? Who would have guessed?
She went to the clinic to have a blood test,
She was HIV positive, very distressed,
But nobody's heart was bleeding.

Forgiveness
Lucky the man who never judges
Another, or bears any grudges!
Sometimes it's so hard to forgive -
I guess it's a question of 'live and let live'.
When someone has wronged you or hurt your pride
And hatred is eating you up inside,
Try to forgive and release the pain,
Don't take those walks down memory lane,
Don't be a victim again and again.
Anger can really drive you mad
And scorn and contempt are just as bad,
Better just to forget and let it go,
Let the spirit say Yes, though the flesh says No.

Losing My Virginity (by Sally)
I lost my virginity
Behind the school pavilion,
I can't remember his name,
It was just another game
That kids get up to,
I didn't feel any shame
'Cos all the others did the same
Behind the school pavilion.
It didn't amount to much,
It's not as if he was 'one in a million'!
He was probably called Mick or Harry,
Nigel, John, or even Larry.
The psychologists
Would like to make a theory out of this,
But I reckon they're taking the piss,
There wasn't even a romantic kiss
Behind the school pavilion.

Our Fickle Feline Friends
Cats abide us, we will do
Till they find something better,
They have no canine loyalty
And would not die in our defence -
Dogs are rather stupid, just like us,
But cats have much more common-sense!
Given half a chance they'd be elsewhere,
Rubbing against some stranger's legs
While they feed them titbits, stroke their fur,
Deceived, like us, by that feline purr -
We might be worried witless
But would the little traitors care?
Next time you feed the cat take note,
Tomorrow she might not be there! !
