The Unknown To Anybody
The star I stare at is the brightest in the sky
How I wish I could fly
Into space
And race
Asteroids and meteors
To be marked down in history as the explorer amongst explorers
To distant planets with life
With struggle and strife
I dream of that
To live and travel the unknown to anybody

As She Sleeps
As she sleeps
I cannot
While she dreams
I think
She stirs
And I remain still
So close..
I can feel the heat
So distant,
I feel nothing else
As she sleeps
And dreams
I'm wide awake
Thinking
Staring at the emptiness
The void
Hoping to find a sign..
Your hands are cold
But mine are warm..

Nuevo Mexico
What happen to the promise?
Did it die
as soon as we crossed?
or hid-
and got lost?
was it not bilingual?
or did it need a translator-
maybe if we paid a toll?
perhaps if our skin was lighter
and accents not so thick
is it like a bomb closer to
explosion with each tick?

Robert Nesta
The man who united the world
Views of peace
Built up from pieces
Music was the foundation
The universal language
Only he knew
The power
The effect
The cause
His sound could reach
Past the outside
Deep in the soul
Passion
Anger
Love
One love
There is only one kind of love
And he let the world know.

You Were Everything
I can't lose what I never had
I never had you
So when you left
I lost nothing
But to lose nothing
You had to be nothing
And that's what I made you
At least in my mind
I thought of you by
Not thinking of you
Making you nothing to me
Nothing to me
Nothing to me..
Nothing to me....
You were everything.

A Thought Away
You are just a thought away
no need to ask you to stay
I have you forever in my mind
I can live happily content blind
You are just a thought away
Just a smile away
and free I can be
thinking of you and someday
maybe reality will change
and you won't just be a thought..
and you will be closer than I think

Make a difference
The gringos don't
comprehend
my people come
to america for a
better life
they view it as
a threat to their
own lives
They make racist comments
they mention
border control
they go as far as to say
killing is the solution
Im disgusted with
the gringo mentality
even more so to see a hermano,
a fellow

Yup Im Crazy
My dreams speak softly to me
They possess the key
To free
My soul
But behold
They whisper in riddle
While I get stuck in the middle
Find a solution
To the impossible conclusion
Nothing but confusion
My mind plays tricks on me
Yet I continue to agree
And play along
Mental ping pong
With only myself..
Yup I'm crazy.

Trapped
I look into your eyes
And suddenly
I'm trapped
Hypnotized
By the beauty
Captured by the pure
Your so close
But so far
Stuck in my mind
I wish to be blind
Even then I'd probably still be held
By your voice
Not the sound
The words
And your touch
Not only the physical
The mental
Stress
You cause me
Ill get over it

Don't Hit Her
Stop stop!
Your hurting her!
Let her go!
My mind slows
As he delivers each blow
Protect her is what my heart screams
My eyes sting as my tears stream
Hit me! Hit me!
Fight somone your own size!
He begins to rise.
To my surprise
He leaves
Grabs his keys
He's out the door
Me and my mom are left crying on the floor
Still hungry
Still poor
