A Poem of Love on a Spring Morning
When my eyes
For the first time
Chanced upon your eyes
Haven’t I seen
A familiar flutter in the lashes?
Yes, I’ve known
The zigzag pieces
Trying to arrange themselves
In different combinations
Into a perfect symmetry of

For Ojaswi on His 18th B'day
At the age of two
He got on to a tripod
To pluck stars
By the time he’s three
He seriously contemplated
On how to kill the god
At four when he saw crows
Settled on a wall
In group-contemplation
Summed up they’re engaged
At some serious decision making
As he reached five
He geared up himself to meet god
Even if he appeared to him
In the form of a devil
He always pitied Ravana
Despised Sita for her morose state
Despite heavenly environs
And had the courage to tell the Head
‘…well, doesn’t mean I have to

Radhakrishna
Passing through
All layers of consciousness
There you settled
In the world of innocent cows
Who know only joy of giving
Mischievous
Adorable
LovingCaring
Dark-skinned handsomeness
Stealer of butter and hearts, alike
Flute
Enigmatic smile
That let the motley mortals
Lose the earth bounds
Demons
Monsters—
Putana, Baku, Kesin, Kaliya

Sleep
I enjoy myself when I see
You slowly slipping into sleep
Even while I keep talking to you
It amazes me to see
Sleep, like a lantern-genie
Appearing before you with folded hands
As and when you command
Just as an infant wraps

A Poem On a Wholesome Mother
'If I service five clients, ' she said
With thorough professionalism
'My night is done
And my day is taken care of!
That breaks even
With my children properly fed! '
She went on telling me
How as a young girl
Much before puberty
She was forced into flesh trade
Not really knowing what it's about
She tried herself, in vain, and
She looked for someone
To rescue her once she knew
Where she's forced into
By and by, she understood
That's the only option she had
And the education her body imparted
Became her intellectual property right!
'This body, bestowed upon me

Through A Transparent Tear...
a night of drumming rain
woke up into an unusually
fresh winter morning
of drizzle and tickling breeze
laced by lazy chillness
the languid nerves of the night
looked for some stirring to
help them out of a tempting bed...
a breeze brushing past the sea
a breeze traversing across
the imposing dolphin's nose
a breeze caressing the leaves
buds and flowers even in earthen
pots laden heavy absorbing
the live long passion of the clouds
a breeze filling all that it touched
on the little bit of earth around me
a breeze pervading my little sky
caused me come alive...

Some Random Oneliners (oneryus)
i live in a world of hypocrites as one among them!
death comes searching for us like a mother searching for her lost child...
life is beyond all labels we give it...
if we land straight on our face due to our own innocence or ignorance, i'm no exception...
we go to the end of the earth searching for a soul mate, only to find him or her, playing hide n seek from within!
where eagles dare, so do my dreams...
the more darkness around, more does light abound
this morning i'm the sea in which the golden sun reflected n dissolved...
is the much talked of first breath and the last really so...?
life ceases to be a surprise but it continues to have a disturbing question mark after it...

Intersecting Paths
Counting steps
But how many in that
10X12 space and
How many times?
The steps measured
In certain uncertainity
Yes...one
No...two
Went the count
A pen looted in broad day light
Hearts waiting for a release!
But permenantly sealed...
Yes...no Yes...no!
Left their impressions
On either cheek

Life-force
once again the earth
stealthily gnawed at her own margins
entombing gods and humans alike.
freezing all human activity
in its innocent sleep
the buried gods
from the earth below
bear witness to
frozen petrified children
still at their study…
panting parents
under the dead weight
of their young ones…
a just fed infant alive
with a mouthful of milk
in the arms of a mother dead…
a life entrapped for thirteen days
with its breath still intact…

A Desert Flower
Just four or five months
If only you bear with my unsightliness
There, yonder on the frame of this rugged body
I give birth to an amazing flower
That flower with its fleeting prettiness
Will balance your months of tolerance
With utmost ease
The flower will swing at the end of the creeper
With joy you can never get at
