A Poem That Woke Me Up!
I dwell
In the absence
You left behind
That absence occupies me
I dabble
In the silence
You fill me with
That's my silent connect
This heart
Still sings
The moonlight sonata of yore
That silent score sustains me
My breath
Still draws in

A Collage Of Silence
the silence of your heart
spread its wings
ridiculing me and my ideology
from afar...
the laughter of a lunatic
with teeth protruding
pushed me and my ideology
into a state of silent non-being
a handful of petals
from the lunatic's hair
fell on my silent nondescript path
i stood in solemn silence
paying homage to seasons
of perpetual heart
of perennial hurt...

Drama Named Desire*(originally Titled 'passion')
desire hurled
into the wilderness of passion
hits back with the force
of a boomerang
desire burning the core
leaves one exhausted
throws one as a ragged doll
into a nondescript corner
desire flying high
falls flat to ground
like a wounded bird
directionlessly directed
this intiguing drama of desire
has no written script...

Between time and me
Once time tied them
together
time also threw them
to two extreme ends
with the same
spirit and gusto
it once tied them
now
each a stranger
to the other
***
Seasons are your creation
so is the illusion
of sunrise and sunset
love and hatred
life and death too
all illusions you bear
in your eternal womb

A Poem On Obsequies To A Tear
I with utmost care
Place this tear
On the funeral pyre
Don't look down
Upon a tear shed
Don't you see
Its heart still throbbing?
Its eyes beyond your grasp?
The tear still pulsating
And its breath filling the lungs?
It has many tales to recount
Connecting you to me
And us to him, her and them
Come, pay you respects
Before the pyre is lit
Before another tear is shed
And placed on the pyre.

On An Early Summer Morning
Sleeping under the open sky
I woke up to find my skin
Covered by the tiny flowerets
Showered from the mango tree above
My skin and my bedspread
Smelt of its raw fragrance
I felt I was the messenger of spring
Perched on a branch on the green canopy
Playing hide and seek
I cooed with the same gusto as the enigmatic bird

For Him I Know Not...
When eye within the eye
Catches a glimpse of you
In a glorious design
It's like a gentle breeze
From some unknown realm
Blowing through the cracks
To allay those silent wounds
That caused those cracks
The breeze uplifts and frees me
From the gorging void
And helps me take
A confident leap to reach
The nearest star
That lends me its glow
Though for a while
To shine for a wink

From A Water Bubble
you hold me
in a water bubble
precariously on the
edge of your fingers
frail are my limbs
frailer are my wings
multicolored rays
focused on me on
this unique stage
i whirled and whirled
to amuse you, my creator
at the end of a performance
the bubble closed me in
don't bring me back to life
is my earnest request to you
for i no longer can renew my
spirit to amuse you again!

From The Banks Of Ganga: IX
Colourful petals
Yellow, ochre, white
Red and green
Halt a while around me:
Moments of present ecstasy
Nostalgia of yester years
And future days
Surrounded by chilling waters
My body quivers in chillness
When will it turn into a cold mass?
Will it then recall petals of nostalgia…?
I slip into my future moments of oblivion
My body flowing with the rapidity of Ganga
I don't know!
I can't say!

For The Girl-Child
You left
A dropp of you
Within me
The droplet
Became my whole!
I carried you
Lovingly for what
Seemed a life-time
The other day
You kicked life
Out of me
Your semen containing
The designer chromosomes
Irreversible in their uniqueness
Lie around puddles of blood
That drained life out of me
Much despised by your male ego!
