Mother and I wept

Here is the incidence, very true of its kind and, has taken place in my life. In one place mother wept for me and in the second place I wept. Both has no bearing on each other but since it was between mother and son, I thought of it putting it to a general public for view.

I joined Indian Air Force much to the dislike of whole family. My brother was living just 120 km. away from my native place and I was just informed to report to the recruiting office for medical check up and tests. When I reached office, and much to my dismay, it was very brief and we were given clearance and instructed to report to the training centre at Bangalore.

After completion of training at Bangalore, I got posting at capital city of India, New Delhi. After brief stay at Delhi, I was given first leave to visit home town. Mother was so happy to see me alive as if I was never coming back alive to the village. But as days drew nearer and I was to go back to my unit, mother became restless and all the times she used to shed tears in the corner. One I was sleeping in the after noon and suddenly I felt that some wet thing was falling on my forehead. I got up to see that mother was whipping, and when asked, she replied that how I will be doing in the defense set up since no body had gone from our family so far. I too became emotional but still regained the composure and counseled mother. Such was deep love from mother to a son.

Mother died while I was in service. I couldn’t remain present at the funeral ceremony because it almost took 24 hours to reach home and it was custom that dead body was not to be kept beyond certain hours. She was cremated but had unfulfilled desire in her mind. So in the night, she appeared in the dream and asked promise from me not to do at least one thing in whole life. I asked 'why, mom, you want such promise' from me. She replied that as such I was not smoking in my life, so you take vow not to smoke throughout life. Even at the end of the days also, mother remembered that I was non-smoker. I wept continuously and there was no body to wipe my tears.

Both the incidences have no bearing on each other but certain things you realize when person is no more with you. It is pure love and affection that bonds you to gather and you never miss those moments when get time and memory cross your mind.

In today’s time, such warmth and feeling has disappeared altogether. We live in the changed scenario but in my belief still there may be similar cases taking place but not coming to the light.

“Mom, I love you” can only be my tributary words

Love is................

Does the love represent natural phenomenon with universal language
Has it to do anything with cast, creed, color, race religion or age?
How are we going to define it in real context with exact meaning?
Why everybody is expected to do something more with kind leaning?

Love is something which has remained unclear to many so far?
It emerges from no where and takes us to new
No one can be sure of when and how it started with precision?
Individual is lost in race without making proper decision

It is assumed that it has origin in early days of childhood
Parents too allow good and friendly relations in neighborhood
Good dress, smart turn easily draw the boys to imagination
Knowingly or unknowingly they fall prey to culmination

It does not speak any informal language or follow
People are drawn towards each other and allow
Coming to so close with intention of knowing well
Not sure of any outcome or, life turning into hell

A place to find

I have no where to go
I have strong desire it to forgo
I did grave mistake to miss the chances
You can sight many instances

You can term it as misfortune
It has taken me out of tune
I am unable to synchronize with the new change
The time is running out with the age

I have decided to go away for the good
I was completely running out of food
It is tragic that I failed on all the fronts
I wish not indulge in bad things and confront

I shall return to the nest
My next attempt will be very best
It may not be all together different
But the change will be definitely apparent

Where To Find Her

I lay motionless at mothers no movement
It was sad news coupled with tragic moment
I was not in position to speak or offer the comments
She was top most rated among parents

She left us amidst uncertainties
She lived among us with all her niceties
How could we afford live without her for coming days?
I was at pain to express feelings and find ways

Where she might have gone after leaving us behind?
Where can we search for her and bodily find?
Who will be so much attached to us for all kinds?
We all be will be facing all odds with unfavorable wind

It was unbelievable loss and irreparable damage was done
We were sub cautiously cheated and remained very prone
She stood on the guard and protected us from all evils
It is unimaginable now for us to execute her last will

My Country Bleeds

My country is bleeding to death,
Daily we mourn the dead and lay wreath
Could do absolutely nothing to prevent
Blasts and deaths daily occurrences as if there are no more event

Some people come on bike and strike with gun,
terrorist emerge all of sudden and shoot for the fun
People are caught in cross fire and go for the run
What a shame on earth? Are we happy under the sun?

Country’s existence and honor is at stake
Still there is no unity and people are not wake
No one thinks of humanity and survival is at sake
How to mourn death and celebrate the occasion with cake?

We expect many more such strikes if we remain discerned
People and country should have more concerns
Holy places are on hit list but who knows when?
Danger may be lurking from all over then

Plight or Hunger

It is not plight or hunger
People are burning with anger
With decades and centuries passing over
They have yet to find shelter or cover

They have no means to find square meals
Someone is there at the top to steal
Their means of livelihood
Their only hope to live nicely in the neighborhood

We have stooped so below
We can’t see others happy or allow
We thrive on coffers business
No worry lines even on face

They have enough patience to tolerate
They know it is futile on their part to relate
Who has time to care for human values?
Their only aim is to deny the legitimate dues

Only One Religion

What was I fed to believe?
Confine to one religion and live
Believe one God and consider none
Yet I believed there was invisible someone

I traditionally learnt all aspects
It did not teach for any disrespect
Almost all advocated for noble acts
Tolerance to all and respect to facts

At no stage something came out as critical
Almost all views shared were identical
“Love and let others live” was suited as ideal
The message was well conveyed and seemed real

As a child when I turned round to acknowledge
I was bewildered at different stories and failed to manage
Why so many faiths on earth to obey his existence?
When it was a universal line and read as sentence!

We have failed to care

As progressing society we have failed to care
The destitute and left over have no place to go anywhere
They have remained aloof and neglected
As fellow brethren we have never respected

They have expected no better treatment
Not good and sweet words with fine comments
Some caring words might have done miracle
They have no where to go other than their circle

We can blame only social structure
They have no secured future
It has remained so even after many centuries
For them there is no justice from juries

The orphanage receive unwelcome guests
The unwanted souls are left at the gates
Only little cry may invite some attention
This is only holy place for their retention
