An Answer, Please!
I lay down on my bed, facing the ceiling.
My thoughts are dealing
with problems, floating free,
but still part of me.
What's to do!
Must think things through
and make some decisions,
as there are collisions
within my brain.
It's so inane!
An answer, please,
something to ease
the hurting in my head.
So here on my bed,
I face the ceiling
with such a reeling, feeling.

Always On Cue
Life should be in tune with you,
A gentle song, always on cue,
Soft lingering smile, by pleasure kissed,
Sunbeams that pierce the early mist.
Listening to the chorus of birds at dawn,
Glimpsing blossom on a wild hawthorn,
Laughter pulsating through the veins,
Happiness filled with sweet refrains.
Feeling such balance and harmony,
When I'm with you, and you're with me.
Life should be in tune with you,
A gentle song, always on cue.

Such Significance
I entered through the postern gate,
And spied an ethereal being, there
Amongst the rambling roses, in wait
For me. An Angel with face so fair.
And as I crossed the misty lawn,
He turning smiled, and circled thrice,
And if I had not known that I'd been born,
Assuredly, I would have been in paradise.
A feeling of such significance,
Stole through my body and my soul,
This Angel of such magnificence,
Had made my tattered spirit whole.

He Who Owns the Universe
Glorious is our Lord,
In his station up above,
Glorious, the one adored,
With his endless flow of love.
He who owns the heavens,
The earth and planets far,
He who owns the universe,
Sun, moon and each bright star.
We are but a speck,
In his wide and wondrous hands,
We are but a fleck,
In his wide and pleasant lands.
He will always constant be,
Our guardian at our side,
He will always be continually,

Innermost Happiness
Let's go find that great blue yonder,
Far away from noise and rush,
A place where one can sit and ponder,
Silently, in a cocoon of hush.
With solitude, to rest one's senses,
Some time to grasp what life's about,
To knock down all those rigid fences,
And let your wildest thoughts fly out.
Allow for all your hopes to wander,
Into dreams that calm the mind,
And use the time in that great blue yonder,
Your innermost happiness to find.

A Distant View
A distant view
Can beckon you
To dream of unknown destinations
Where life has no more regulations
And freedom reigns.
There are no chains.
A distant view
Can summon you
With magnetic power. A forceful attraction
Revealing nothing, not even a fraction
of what is in store
What you're looking for.
A distant view
Can often woo
Your heart, and let you fantasise
About a place you could colonise
Where your soul's at ease
And, your life's a 'breeze'.

What Reminds You Of Christmas?
A holly wreath hung on the door,
Or presents strewn across the floor,
Tall Christmas tree with baubles bright,
Which fills our hearts with such delight.
Carols sung out in the snow,
A Snowman built with eyes aglow,
Crackers pulled, a song to sing,
Candles lit, and bells that ring.
Roasted turkey, which tastes divine,
Rich, fruit cake, with an iced design,
No, the most important reminder of all,
Is the birth of a babe in an Ox's stall.

Intrusive Inspection
Across the room he turned to stand and stare at her,
She felt her soul stripped bare by this striking stranger.
No longer conscious of knowing her present location,
Yet sensing this intrusive inspection, she felt such elation.
Across the room she observed him walking towards her,
Great anxiety rising, and feeling deep passions stir.
Then face to face their lips met in complete sensual bliss,
And two became one with an incredible emotional kiss.

You Know Your Fault
Do some detox,
Clear your head,
Unlock all locks,
Feel free instead.
Sit a spell,
Relax a while,
You'll feel swell
If you'd only smile,
Or try to yawn.
It won't crack your face,
Desire to be reborn,
Find some space.
Put your feet up,
Take a break,
Lift a teacup,
Try some cake,
Have some time off,
Lounge around,
With some wine to quaff,
You'll sleep safe and sound.

Our Troubled Sky
When thunderstorms come out to play,
And lightning o'er this earth is seen,
Dense clouds descend in colours grey,
And rain pours forth, where sun has been.
When crescendos resound in humid air,
And exacerbate our troubled sky,
Will all the power residing there,
Look kindly down from portals high.
Such danger lurks in flashes bright,
Splitting the heavens so mercilessly,
But what an amazing glorious sight,
Portrayed here in all its ferocity.
