Sad Sight
All those white crosses
lined up in a row
house all the remains
of soldiers that don't know
who won the war?
Or what they died for?

Memories Of Ice Cream
I love to eat an ice cream cone
and feel it dribble on my chin.
It makes me feel like a kid again,
never worrying about sticky skin

Arrogance
Men never like to ask for directions
even when they are lost.
They'd rather try to find their own way
no matter how much it may cost.

Female Fools
Women at all ages of their life
can be fooled on any day.
Just offer her some sweet sounding talk
and she's putty with which men play.

Short Changed
How many people get to live their dreams
before it's their time to die?
Not too many as far as I can see,
mostly because they don't try.

Alone
To live a solitary life alone
and never with the company of another soul
is to die a little more on every day
without ever having been whole.

Chains

you must start with just one link.
And the best way to accomplish this
is to change the way you think.

Chameleon
If humans had the skin of a chameleon
we would never fear each other.
For we'd just change the color of our skin
to match the color of a brother.

Optimism?
She danced and sang and never cried
even though her dreams had died.
She simply put it into her head
'I'll dream something else until that's dead.

Not To Be
He did not chase me
so I knew
his non-pursuit
would never do.
I just stood still
and watched love go
in search of another
and let contentment grow.
