3. Our Little Angel
I believe there is another place
Than where we are today
I believe that heaven has a space
Where good souls go to stay
I believe that angels care for them
To help them take a rest
I believe that you are with them now
Being cared for by the best
I believe when you have rested
You will want to take your wings
I believe you are an angel
Up there doing angel things

4. Expiry Date
No food on the table
A little child cries
Her mother sits begging
With tears in her eyes
Why do they pass?
Can no one see her plight?
If she doesn’t find food
They will not eat tonight
She fought with the rats
Over garbage in bins
Cutting her fingers
On half open tins
Under the arches
Both ate what she found
They expired like the food
Passing by without sound

Wobbly Ways
Up and down goes the dipper
On rattling track
It first went away
But it’s know coming back
Climbed up so high
Coming down with such speed
We passed warning signs
Going too fast to read
We all started screaming
As loud as was able
The dippers old track
Seemed a little unstable
At last it was over
Get off someone begs
Then we all staggered home
On our wobbly legs

3. I Nearly
I nearly won the football pools
The man next door won first
I nearly found a dog with speed
But I must have picked the worst
I nearly won the national
The jockey’s horse was shying
I nearly won the lottery
But I know the balls weren’t trying
I nearly won the boat race
The team I picked didn’t start
But I really won the one I love
When you came first in my heart

3. Young Mechanic
Revving engines hear them roar
Round the corner of the door
Gave a push across the floor
Sleeping cats not there no more
My racing car a friction toy
Not made for girls just for a boy
Gives me nothing but great joy
Bought for me by Uncle Roy
I like to send it round the bend
Up to the staircase at the end
To fall down stairs as I intend
This leaves me with a car to mend

4. World Dreams
World Dreams
I dream of a world
Without want or war
I dream of a people
Who need little more
I dream or a world
Where all killings are banished
With cures for diseases
Where illness has vanished
I dream of a world
Where equality rules
And none of its counties
Are governed by fools
I dream of a world
Where mankind can stand tall
With a mutual respect

4. Ruined
The old roman ruins
Turned pillars to dust
The weather being fierce
Where the irons now rust
Huge hand carved blocks
Lying roughly askew
With masons initials
Still showing from new
Like a giants been shopping
With a huge stack of tins
He took from the bottom
Where the tumble begins
The old roman ruins
What a sight to be seen
They will all turn to dust
Where the ruins have been

3. Singing Whales
Singing whales I hear your song
Deep down low where you belong
Tunes my mind cannot unravel
Many miles your songs will travel
Singing whales send out your sound
In the oceans where you’re found
Tons of blubber sifting krill
Hunting as you move at will
Singing whales all wet and shiny
Giant sounds heard by those tiny
Sounds that hold a hidden charm
To help all restless souls stay calm

3. Riches
No silver spoon when I was born
Or riches in a treasure chest
Without the wealth to help me through
I quickly learned to do my best
By finding all the best in life
Costs nothing it comes free
Respect is something you can’t buy
You earn it there’s no fee
I did my best and earned respect
Gave back more than a measure
By giving others things I’d learned
Meant a poor man could have treasure

4. Footwear for Spiders
A spider went shopping
To buy some new shoes
He tried on so many
But just couldn’t choose
He first tried four pairs
Each laced polished black
Then eight yellow flip flops
But all were to slack
Having searched every rack
He found some brown boots
Which he tried on at once
But they looked like tree roots
So he settled for clogs
Making eight feet look wider
Because no one sells shoes
For a smart trendy spider
