Question Of Happiness
Money owned by rich men
Buys temples to store their gold
Though these temples money they defend
Do they within their wall, happiness hold

A Winter Visit
Out of the darkness they drifted down
like white feathers from a pillow fight.
Silent flakes in the night
to land and make everything white.

Bridges
We burn bridges
everyday of our lives
so we can leave
some part of it behind.
Then we go on
and build more bridges
to forge our life ahead.

Rules And Regulations
We all live by
rules and regulations
that dominate our lives,
but those rules and regulations
are not always the ones
that the laws provides.

Early Works - Leaves On The Ground
The sun was shining brightly
the moon was high in the sky
the snow fell gently to the earth
the wind whips up the leaves
the leaves on the ground.

Right Heart
Sometimes life can be
like a lonely dream.
One we chase for years,
never finding the right heart.
Always waiting and waiting
for it to come along.

A Sunday Prayer 18
Dear Lord help me to listen
when the need may arise
and not walk away
from that cry for help,
but to extend my hand
and let them walk with me.
Amen

Who Could Wish For Anything More
Candle
For the light.
Wine
For the drinking
Chocolates
For the eating
Flowers
For the smelling
Lips
For the kissing
Who could wish
For anything more

Early Works - It Must Be Nice
It must be nice
to have friends
to be near
when you need them.
Oh it must be nice
to have love
sent especially for you
from above
oh it must be nice.

For What They Will Never Have
Tongues may put us under
for crimes we did not commit.
The words normally come
from those who are jealous
at what they cannot achieve,
and for what they will never have.
