Dreamland In Life
Sometimes life throws us a curve
from which future things develop.
Friendships are formed from a comment given.
We never know what is around the corner
and nor do we really want to know.
Surprises in life brighten us up
whenever they come to take us
to that dreamland in life.

Body Language
Our body everyday
sends out messages
to show the world
and expression of our feelings.
Whether we are happy,
sad, mad or angry.
They call it our body language.
We read it in others
every time we see them;
it shines out like a beacon signal
of come and join me
or stay away.

With
With fingers running through my hair
you, arouse the passion fire
from deep within.
With your smouldering kisses,
you set my heart
all aglow.
With your body pressed close to mine,
we shrink
into becoming one.
With emotions and passions running high,
we close the door
and say goodnight.

He Just Sits Silently
A little man sits
silently on a high shelf
watching the proceeding below.
From his vantage point
in the café he watches
the owners come and go.
He is a porcelain figure
who stares out at all.
He never smiles or frowns
at anything that goes on.
He just sits silently there.

A Story In Everything
As writers we should see
a story in everything,
whether it be a dying twig,
or the birdies singing,
the bit of paper
carried along by the wind
or and old tyre discarded.
Everything has a story
of why, when and where,
and through our imaginations
we should recognise it there.

No Statutes Of Limitation
There are no statutes of limitations
when it comes to love,
no borders it cannot cross,
and no distances it cannot span.
Love when it takes you,
it grasps you forever
and times hold no barriers
once it has bitten you.
Its only enemy is jealousy
from another lovelorn heart.

In The Peace They Have Found
They stood as memorials
to those who passed before us.
Epitaphs for formal lives,
white markers upon their grave
and as I sat among them,
there was silence everywhere.
Their bodies lay silent
deep within the ground.
They rest there for eternity
in the peace they have found.

Into The Night Long
Within the flickering candlelight
a romantic evening is born.
Two hearts entwine like ivy
into the night long.
The moon hides behind a cloud
briefly as they kiss.
In their moment of ecstasy,
the two hearts tip toe
among the stars
as they wait together
for the morning call.

Another Way
Before we accept
what is inevitable,
we must try other ways.
Nothing is so die cast
that it cannot be changed,
changed for another way.
No problem is unsolvable
providing you have the tools at hand.
Before you give up on anything
just remember
there is always another way.

Pastures Of The Past
Clouds of discontentment
cover us at times
wanting us to retreat
into pastures of the past,
to places where our heart sang
out with joyous melodies
and contentment laid
beneath our feet
where love sprang eternal
on our happy days,
which now seem
a million miles away.
