Nobody
Nobody knows
what tomorrow will bring.
Nobody knows
if the little birds will sing.
Nobody knows,
no, no, nobody knows
not even me.
Nobody knows
when hearts will be broken.
Nobody knows
what lies will be told.
Nobody knows,
no, no, nobody knows
not even me.

Love Is Like A Candle
Sometimes a candle flickers
as if it is going out.
The light will dim a bit,
but with some loving care,
the flame will rekindle there.
Love is like a candle,
sometimes its light might fade.
It just needs a little something
to rekindle the flame
of passion again.

Forever Friends
In life, we make
a few forever friends.
Friends that are there
whenever the need may arise
and even after they are gone,
they are still there for us
helping us with decisions
at times we have to make.
They are there
and will always remain
our forever friends.

Great To Hear (For Tara)
It is always great to hear from dear friends
ones who have been noted for their absence.
Great to hear of their awakening,
rejuvenating their spirit to sing again
with words that fly on spirited wings.
Oh, yes it’s great to hear
from old and dear friends again.

Anything Romantic To Say
I sat down to write
a romantic poem
confessing I love you.
However, I guess I’m not
in a romantic mood today,
as I couldn’t find
anything romantic to say.
The words it seems
have left my head,
which only leaves me
one thing to do,
and that is to go to bed.

A Pound Super-glued (Fun Poem 49)
I once had a friend
who super-glued a pound
to the pavement outside his home.
He wanted to see
how many people would bend over
to try to pick up the coin.
He racked up a score
of twenty people or more
until one bright spark came back
with a hammer and chisel
and he got it up.

Twilight
Twilight is the time
when the daylight
meets the night.
The hour when the sun
rests its head at sunset.
The time when lovers
come out to play,
taking walks down
leafy lover’s lanes
before the moon
wakes its sleepy head.
Twilight a time
near the end of the day

Tender Hearts
Only Tender hearts
are so easily broken
in loves crazy game.
Only tender hearts
feel the shame
of someone else’s pain.
So when you find
a tender heart
give it all the love and care it needs.
For tender hearts
belong to loving people
and that is what this world really needs.

A Waking Day
The dew jewelled life
sparkles under the morning sun
at the beginning of a new day
as sleepy heads awaken
across the tundra of city life.
Mouths open wide in yawns
as alarm clocks ring the call
to awake from our dreamy hollows,
to rise for work or play
and greet the coming day.

The Stages Of Life
On the stages of life
many plays are performed.
Some are little dramas
while on others
large epics are presented.
Each has a different ending
of which no one can guess.
Each character plays their part
until their staring role arrives
on one of the stages of life.
