Our Dreams
Sometimes our dreams
when they come true
are not all what
we thought they would be.
Some hold a little disappointment
that you can never share.
Some show a little promise
then flicker like a candle light
before being extinguished
by the cold wind at night.

A Simple Kiss
A simple kiss
can lead to many things,
a heart filled with love
and a golden ring.
A simple kiss
is how it starts,
who knows where
that simple kiss will end.
It can lead to happiness
the greatest we’ve ever known,
or it can lead to pain
and a broken heart.

Shallow Halls
In the shallow halls
of hollow fame,
I walk my endless trek
with arms empty open
waiting to beckon
any stranger to my kingdom
where hearts entangle
within loves refuge.
Where smiles are written
within each world,
but no one comes
to seek refuge
within these shallow halls.

In The Hallowed Halls Of Fame
In the hallowed halls of fame
have walked so many through the years.
Some will be remembered,
while others will quickly fade away.
Some names stick out like pinnacles
for work that they have done,
while others simply fall by the wayside
and are forgotten evermore.

We Never Realise
We never realise how fragile
life can really be
until it effects someone
within our friends and family tree.
We never look at the dangers
that face our daily lives.
It is only when something happens
we take notice and realise
that we are not as immortal,
as we thought we are.

Butterfly Dance
Looking out my window
I know summer is here
butterflies dance gracefully
in the morning air.
They move from flower to flower
doing pirouettes everywhere.
Their delicate wings flutter
like the eyes of a shy bride.
They brighten up the morning
with their gentle butterfly dance.

Car
Four wheels to take you anywhere.
Upon it you bestow loving care.
But woe be tide,
if anything goes wrong.
Its grace falls foul,
and you sing another song.
Just like a woman,
I’ve often heard this said.
For on frosty nights,
you’ve got to wrap it up warm for bed.

Kissing Down The Telephone Line
With loving words,
we coo and dove to one another
over the telephone line.
Blowing kisses to one another
down the telephone.
Now tomorrow when we meet,
we’ll take them up for real
that’s if our mothers let us,
because you are only two
and I am only three.

Bed
The spider weaves silk for its web;
birds gather twigs to make their bed.
We just go down to the furniture store
and pick whatever we choose.
Dogs and Cats curl up on a matt
making sure they hog the fire
while it seems we sit a mile away
and in the cold, shiver.

I Feel Like Singing
I feel like singing a happy song.
I feel like singing as I stroll along.
I have the world at my feet
and nothing can go wrong.
I whistle to myself as I stroll along.
Life holds no mystery
that feel I cannot solve
and I feel like singing
as I wander on my way.
