Lighter (Fun Poem 128)
I am heading home tomorrow
a little lighter than when I came.
I had a candy yesterday
and as I bit into it
one of my teeth cracked.
Now I am going back lighter
and one tooth less
than when I came.
Looks like a trip to the dentist,
oh what a shame.

Fairy Glen
We frolic in the morning dew
you and me on a summer morn.
Two children who are reborn
again in a distant field,
we lean against a dandelion,
sit on a toadstool
watch our brothers and sisters
testing out their wings
as they play within the fairy glen.

If I Can Get Through Tomorrow
If I can get through tomorrow,
it will be a brighter day out there.
My love may tumble and fall,
but if I can get through tomorrow,
it won’t really matter at all.
If I can get through tomorrow,
everything will be Ok
and all my troubles
will just simply fade away.

Early Works - Oneself
Men though great
can conquer almost anything
with the exception of one - himself.
No one can conquer oneself
though you can live for a hundred years
and conquer all around you.
You’ll never conquer yourself
for within
there is always something new.

Solitaire
Silently I stepped around
not to disturb anyone with a sound.
Just to enjoy the morning silence
where my mind could wander around.
Enjoy the peace in the air
without intruding voices everywhere
and enjoy the solitaire
that the morning held there.

Questioning
Is any belief worth sacrificing
to death dark glory?
Is life so easy to toss aside
for the anger of someone else?
These are questions we must ask
as we walk our solitary paths.
How much are we prepared to give
for the sake of being a human being?

Walls
Within the walls that you keep building,
somewhere there must lie a heart.
A heart of stone or a heart of love?
Are the walls that you built
to keep something in,
or to keep something out,
or are you not sure.
The question then must be;
why do you build these walls?

Where No Memories Fade
Every living thing at the end of their days
goes forward into the light
to meet our Lord and Saviour
there to rest forever in the heaven’s paradise.
To feel no suffering
we feel in our mortal coil,
resting forever in the sunset
where no memories fade.

Seeing Things That Are Not There
Sometimes our feelings
run deeper than they should,
we mix them with our imagination,
seeing things that are not there.
We see things out of context;
only imagine what
we want them to be,
then getting badly hurt
when we fall back
to the harsh reality.

One Among The Many
One among the many,
whose feeling lonely today.
Whose love has gone astray.
One among the many,
whose suffering from a broken heart.
Whose love has floundered on an empty shore
One among the many,
whose looking for a new start.
Hoping for a brighter future somewhere.
