How Time Does Fly
Met some old friends
from a place where I used to work,
I hadn’t seen them for a while.
It is amazing how time does fly.
We spoke for a half an hour
then I was off again.
It is nice to keep in touch
for who knows when
I will see them all again.

Flying Saucer (Fun Poem 9)
Two little men in their flying Saucer
Came through the atmosphere
They zipped around the world a couple of times
Decided they didn’t like what they saw
They said the world had one big flaw
It was filled with humans
So they quickly left and that’s all

Clover, Daisies and Grass
Clover daisies and grass
spread out pink, white and greens
on the carpet in front of me.
A thousand heads of clover
and daisies dotted on the green
as far as the eyes can see.
No sea of turmoil there
as each has its own plot there.

Morning Mist
In the shroud of morning mist
that herald a new day
dark monsters scurry back and forth,
as they hurry on their way.
Their roars are swallowed up
as silence consumes all
in the shroud of the morning mist
that heralds a new day.

Tumbleweed
Mountains with their snow-white tops
stare down at the plains below
watching the tumbleweeds roll
where the wind does blow.
They watch the dust trails
they leave behind
on their wind swept quest
rolling on to find a place to rest.

Why Do We
Why do we always hurt
the ones we shouldn’t hurt at all?
Why do we when we hurl our anger
does it always land on them?
One day we may realise
when all our anger subsides,
that we not only hurt the ones we love,
but we also hurt ourselves inside.

Daily Trials
In life, we face many trials
to test who we are.
Each day when we awake
a new trial begins
to test our faith in humanity.
Only when the day is over
and we look back
at all that we have done
do we know
if our daily trial was won.

Every Picture
Every picture tells a story
whether it be a painting or photograph.
If you look hard enough
you’ll see what it says.
It will say something different
to everyone who looks at it.
Each will get a glimpse
into someone else’s life.

No Defence Against Love
There is no defence against love
it will capture you unaware.
Your world will change dramatically
in every shape and form.
When love hits you
it might hurt a little bit,
but you will soon realise
that after you have fallen
it doesn’t hurt at all.

All That Really Matters
It does not matter who you are
your choices are up to you
whether you chose to marry or not
the choice is yours to make.
I never condemn anyone
for the choices they have made
so long as they are happy
that is all that really counts.
