Silver Trail

Sometimes our destiny
rides the silver trail to nowhere,
and then we find ourselves
back at the beginning
to start all over again.
Fate chooses our destiny
and what it will be,
but lets us think we
were the one to choose.

Help

Some days we all need
a little help in our lives
an outstretched hand
or a hug from someone who cares.
We all need a little TLC
to help us through
whether we are old or young.
We all need a little help
sometimes from someone.

Everyday We Fight

Everyday we fight skirmishes,
skirmishes to stay alive.
We might loose a couple
of skirmishes along the way.
We never finish fighting the battle
until we’ve reach the top floor
and then we’re knocking on heaven’s door.

Message To Cupid

Cupid fire your arrow swiftly,
Through someone else’s heart.
Mine has been broken enough,
to want to begin again.
Find someone else.
So they can enjoy loves blessing
and the good times ahead.
For me, you can come back again,
but just not yet.

A Quiet Time

Between the dawn and the daylight,
there is a quiet time
when the creatures of the night
scurry to their warm beds,
and creatures of the daylight
begin to yawn before getting out of theirs.
A quiet time when the world
seems so much at peace.

If Adam Wasn’t Tempted

What would have happened
if Adam wasn’t tempted by Eve’s apple
in the Garden of Eden long ago?
Would any of us be around
to read this now?
It is an interesting question
and one that defies an answer,
as we really don’t know.

Drip Dry Man

I woke up this morning
and there against the adjacent wall
stood a dark figure near the radiator.
An intruder trying to keep warm?
As my eyes became more focused
the figure became clear.
It was none other
than the drip dry man.
