Miracles 2
A baby’s first step,
a kitten’s first cry
these little miracles
only take place once
within the blink of an eye.
They are here
and then they are gone
lost forever in time.

Wrinkles And Crinkles (Fun Poem 83)
They say that behind
every line and wrinkle
there lays a story to be had there.
With all the wrinkles and crinkles
that line my face,
there should be
a couple of novels worth there.

A Sunday Prayer 17
Dear Lord we come to you
to help those who need it.
Let them know
whether they believe or not,
that there is always someone out there
who will help them within their hour of need.
Amen

My Canadian Chronicles 15
Sitting on the deck in the morning
enjoying the sun and blue skies
as the birds flit about my friend’s garden.
Relaxing chatting
under a Calgary sun
who could ask for more,
not me.

Ship Of True Love
Everyone wants to sail
the ship of true love
across the sea of paradise
to find love never ending
like love should always be
on the island of happiness
where loving hearts are free.

Solitaire 2
Solitaire is a game people play
to fill the empty hours
and nudge loneliness gently away.
They sit and deal the cards,
playing game after game
hoping to blank the mind
from any emotions they feel.

Tempted
I walk down the street
A pretty woman passes
I stop, turn and stare.
Her bottom wiggles
Oooh, I’m tempted
Then my conscience kicks in
To remind me that
I have a wife, three kids and a cat

A Sunset Glow
As the clouds of night dissipate
in the morning sky,
they sometimes leave
a sunset glow on the horizon
as a warning of storms ahead
and we should be ever watchful
of the day ahead.

Our Memory Closes The Door
At times,
time seems to take away
the things we love the most,
then our memory closes the door
so they will never die,
so that they always remain close to us
through our passing years.

Love’s Flower
Love’s flower flourishes
scenting the morning air
as the sun rises to kiss
each dew-laden petal.
We are like love’s flower
my love and I
as we kiss under
the moon’s watchful eye.
